To be honest there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of interest. 3ff3cts choice, but I'd probably abandon at this stage.

3ff3ct - I have to apologize to you for failing to paint my entry; that's twice in a row I failed to complete on time. I also want to thank you for arranging these competitions, as they are great for motivating me into getting something done.

Yeah whatever... you all suck....  I think we can safely say that this has died it's death, if anyone does do their entries at some point, feel free to post them in here as an epitaph (sp?) to GGXV  I did start one, although due to working, job applications, vacuum casting anything that isn't tied down and an unhealthy obsession with Boarderlands 2 I didn't get past the undercoating stage. Needless to say that Golden Guardsman will rise from the ashes in the near future, with something fun and crazy  |

'Warhounds' should also include all types of dogs, various other mammals and reptilian/ avian creatures, sguiggoths and the deadly rabbit with huge teeth.

I would have liked to have participated in this one. Problem is that all the terrain stuff I have, for the most part, I started building years ago. Also, class has been flogging me, but y'all will recall the bunker I painted in mid-February...

no 'official' prize wanted, I leave that to the glory boys... here's my WIP  yup.. I made a Cat! naah.. that's silly... I made some Saws! ... nope, that's daft too.. I bought them from a shop! What I made was the mess around the Cat and the Saws... that became this:  gently sloping river banks with a steep drop down into the river:  Covering most of a 4' x 6' table...  what I didn't notice til the end was that I wanted the river to run at the opposite angle... Doh! |

Not so cool today.. I forgot to bring it in last night and the rain has washed away most of the blue paint now... its some cheap emulsion stuff which is painted over grey gloss... so wasn't going to stick very well anyway!
Oh well.. at least I have more paint left - just need another decent sunny day! (maybe I'll mix a bit of the grey gloss into the blue to make it more sticky)
looks good when there's a bridge placed over the river - shame my batteries died before I could take pictures.
Next time.
ps - it took about 4 hours to cut the wood to make those gentle slopes!.. my arm aches!
