Simple rubber mold then cast in dental powder. Could you tutorialise that? Because I'm afraid I don't follow. And I am afraid I need to know how, because you have tons of those things. That means they must work like a charm.

Errrr...not without pictures but I'm sure there are references in my camp Talvenus thread that may help. Really couldn't be easier though, make a simple one part mold and pour in your plaster ! s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/topic/7426716/1/#newWhilst there, if you are interested, I put a tutorial up for green stuff casting the heads I use.

Seriously, ALL the heads on the 23rd winterised guys are made this way and I have made nearly 170 of them already!
My tutorial is called " Green Stuff Cast Heads - Push Molds "

Use liquid vaseline lightly painted on the master. Otherwise yup, fairly simple aint it!
I don't however use resin for small parts like heads, not unless I built a vaccuum chamber first. For those I use greenstuff forced into the mold. The real trick is getting rid of air bubbles when making your mold ( lots of tapping) and ensuring you use lots of rubber - dont skimp because a thin mold will easilly warp.

I love your anti-tank rifle/autocannon teams! Similar to the concept I use for my Codex Deathworld fluff-inspired Catachan "hunting cannon" teams (with the gun made from de-Chaosified Reaper autocannons). Although I take mine to the absurd and some of them are firing it as a shouldered weapon without using the bipods on them. In my someday to be written fluff I will justify them being man portable/fireable due to the use of the old, old suspensor item from the days of Rogue Trader.

Nice. I am currently working on an anti tank rifle for my army as well. Great minds think alike!

Bipod is from the SM scout heavy bolter

These guys are in for a real surprise when he pulls the trigger... The gunners right foot will catch on fire from the back flush of the missile. ;D

You are of course thinking there WILL be aback wash? Time have moved on, the missile is ejected using a "Grav Spring" which propels it 30 yards before the missile ignites its own propulsion. This has the added benefit of not being so quick as to give away the firers position.

What legs did you use for the crouch and lying down

Post by digits on Mar 21, 2013 3:03:45 GMT -5
Chopped up regular legs, easiest thing to do. I often chop up the kneeling legs too. Don't worry about them joining up, just get the position right then gs the arse into them and hide bad joins ith ammo pouches and water bottles!
If you really want to know more, you'll need to read through my linked thread ( good luck on that score!) but there are tutorials or detailed close ups of lots of leg conversions, that's my THING! I do lots of running poses too. Enables MUCH more variety in your figure posing.

All amazing. I especially like Harker. Did you just sculpt GS over the stock GW mini of him? If so, the result looks incredibly amazing, and actually far, far better than the stock GW mini...

Yup, that's all I did before adding the backpack and shoulder pads. Worked alright me thinks. A respirator would have been more in keeping but he's hard, he won't allow a little thin atmosphere slow him down!
