I really lie the look of the elysian tauros and venators from forgeworld.
What book would rules be in? Even better are the rules available somewhere else like a white dwarf or online without having to buy a book? Are they compatible with normal 40k rules?
Actually whilee i am on it, how big in actual physical size of the model is the crassus?

Dunno about the size as I've never seen the models in person, but you can find the rules for them in Imperial Armour 1: Second Edition. I'm not sure if they have the rules in PDF anywhere else, but it could be worth having a look around.

I owned a venator for a little while, I'd say they are about 5-6 inches long by about 1.5 inches wide if I remember correctly.

the rules of the venerator etc (or better said, imperial armour, volume one, second edition) are avaiable online. However, we're not going to discuss such things on this forum are we?

Ah so a little research and it seems the imperial armour book gives an army list for Elysium army rather than just additional units
So I assume that means that these units can't be used with the IG codex on its own?

No, the most certainly can. What you want is Imperial Armor 1: Second Edition. That has everything updated for 6th edition. It also labels most of the units in there as approved for normal games of Warhammer 40k. The Tauros vehicles, for example, are legal in standard games and are a Fast Attack choice for Codex: Imperial Guard.
