So, first game today with my Guard in 6th Edition and my Lord Commissar executed a Grenadier Veteran. First time ever having an execution. Never seemed to fail my leadership checks in 5th ed. with his LD 10 aura, but today I rolled box cars and *boom*, Vet lost his head and the rest shaped up immediately. I was actually grinning ear to ear as it all went down and my opponent just shook his head and laughed along. So when was your first? Was it a Platoon Commander or even Company Commander, or just a basic guardsmen? Did you enjoy it as much as I did? ;D

Some lowly sergeant in an Iron Fist squad I'm sure, though the exact details are hazy...there have been so many since.
Yes, I always enjoy it.

Sometimes you've just got to give yourself a warning.

he was the only witness to the unit breaking and as he was the only witness, remove him and make up a story of heroics by yourself, with dragons, pirates and a magic weasle! yes i have been drinking XD

My only one so far was when my Lord Commissar shot the Ogryn Bone 'ead (the only other member in the squad) and then died against the chaos spawn they were fighting anyways haha

After his armoured fist squad was decimated my Abaddon and some chosen, he shot the sole survivor and ran himself. I assume to hide his cowardice.

Not my first, but last night I was assaulted by Gargoyles, lost by two wounds and failed my test miserably.
I immediately got into character and said with some gravel.
Such insubordination is intolerable! *shoots the nearest fleeing guard in the head* Get your arses back in there and don't let up until there is nothing left but your souls!
...and rolled snake eyes.
So, so enjoyable!

That would make a good Black Library story. Maybe as part of a short story collection about the guard.

Despite having commissars in all my command squads in the prior Guard codex, my first was actually in our latest edition. Just some lowly Sergeant from a 40 man platoon.

I have never once used a Commissar.
For whatever reason, I rarely, if ever, fail morale.
It is what it is, and I'm not messing with it.

In my 2 games I played, I never utilized a commissar. Though I would have appreciated one to find my stormtroopers squad that deepstriked off table in my second game.
