So we have been graced with a new xeno codex and as it isn't likely that I will get eyes on the book (or the shiny spinny death contained within) for a very long time I hope someone here can tell me the how it is. Because it looks like dead guardsmen, seriously the XV104 Riptide Battlesuit looks so powerful. Have Ethereals changed in any way? And what of the Kroot? Help me IGMB your my only hope.

one of my fav unit is dirt cheap now, the piranha is ** minus the drones it has, its 12 pts for a AV 11 10 10 vehicle with BC (assault 4)
markerlight is very good now, 1 to boost all unit's BS to shoot at the target, 2 to rid of all cover..
some role changes, broadside got beaten to death with nerf bat, still ok with the missile config. ionheads are better than railhead imo now.
the riptide is pretty self sufficient, can do a S9 large template ordanance, though it could hurt itself, there is an upgrade that might help, it gives it FNP, the wound suffered cannot be saved, but FNP isn't a save according to rule lawyers etc..

If I knew of a majority tau forum I would, do you have an address? Piranha, they perform the land speeder, scout sentinel roll, yes? Will have to guard my flanks more. Thanks.

Again thankyou, this site has a bunch of rule/tactic info, and I see no mention of massive changes to the kroot. Yay. Kroot got nerfed in combat, reduced pts, 6+ sv, and have access to a special sniper round. Krootox finally does not impede the unit from infiltrating, Hounds gained an attack.
