...and I found some battleforce boxes in my Dad's basement. And since I have not painted a model since 4th edition, I of course had to run over to the nearest GW (only one mile away from my new house, much to my delight ;D ) and blow all my hard earned money on paint. This is the very first model I have painted since the 4th edition. And here is the second, who I have dubbed Captain Juan "Johnnie" Rico: "You're next" Then I read the sticky on how to take good pictures... Suggestions/tips/criticisms welcome. More to come as they are completed. Obviously I should have based him first but I was never the brightest chap...

Good to have you back Try using blank paper next time though, it'll force your camera to focus on the mini, especially since it looks like you're using a camera phone, which are a bit of a pain in the ass to use and get good pictures I take it we'll be hearing more from you then?

It's weird having read through threads like Ymmot's art and seeing someone come back from the dead that was never even active the same time you were...

It can be half-empty or half-full, as long as it contains whiskey! Thanks for the warm welcome, I missed you all. 20 primed, 10 more assembled. More pics to come as I paint them. For now, have a teaser of my hastily converted manufactorum: I wasn't kidding when I said I found a lot of sprues in my dad's basement

I enjoy how the empty bottle of Jack was allowed to be in the picture.

I'm really loving this conversion! It seems pretty nice and straightforward too. Did you basically just cut off the rest of the gun and smooth it down? Or are there some other things to do as well? I'm generally skeptical of something being so easy when it looks so nice...
Also, that is truly the only proper way one should display their models. I know basilisk kits can be frustrating, but I'm glad to see that you've gone through the recommended amount of alcohol to stay sane while assembling one.

I made you a picture; basically I attacked it with a hobby saw. Very simple to do for the gun. For the second griffon, I removed the floor south of the "cab" and replaced it with the earthshaker mount (it's the exact same width as the chimera floor so no shaving needed). Also sawed off the wings on the platform and added plasticard as a trim to make it look more beefy. And that's basically it What do you roll for crew awesome results? A barrel roll
