I had a look at the campaign last night. Is it posable to use your own decks? Or do you have to suffer the default ones?

The entire point is that you employ the default ones.

Building confidence and having lots of fun with helicopters...
Not touched the campaign as scenarios are too much fun!

After playing this so much, I smirk when people call things like Starcraft II a "Strategy" game.
Also, highlights from recent patches
- AI has been revamped and improved, and should be more aggressive as of today.
- Helo rocket pod range will almost certainly be nerfed in the near future.
- There will be a campaign patch or free DLC at some point that tweaks the campaign and possibly adds co-op.
- The NATO engineering tanks, which were so utterly broken in the previous patch round, were fixed today.

The Centurion AVRE and the US one, can't remember what the name is but it has a 165mm cannon.

Mel and I just assaulted an enemy control zone with over 1,200 infantry on foot, supported later by almost 200 tanks.

2v3 AI, but we both had 80s decks. Mine had something like 51 marine squads and 66 riflemen to start with. I love my infantry. Reds

why would I hate you... I had to join a team of muppets and play a deck I had never used on a map I'd played once... I really enjoyed that game, as you presented interesting tactical opportunities that the AI doesn't. what was odd was that afterwards you went offline while we were still chatting but hey, no worries!

This is probably my best score ever. Fighting 3 Very Hard AIs is the way to do it, I can't stress it enough. The initial assault they throw at you is brutal, and the fact that they're fielding three different decks usually makes up for a weakness in any one. As long as you're competent with AA and air power, and are willing to give ground though, they still lose. Reds

I shall try this ^^ very soon, for Hard AI proves to be no challenge now I have got to grips with the game.
I really like the massive amount of units available to the player in a 1 vs 2 game, so vs 3 should be epic!
I'm also very much enjoying going for the deep alpha strike, denying the opponent their tastiest first expansion point and putting the fight on their doorstep - Its a gamble which I think is why I love it...
.. edit
just finished a grueling 1 vs 3, I restarted after my alpha strike failed and went for a more defensive approach... took a lot of punishment over 50 minutes and won by 1k (7k to 6k).
A real struggle through out and slowly they were gaining the upper hand as they secured more and more map - then I finally got my artillery out and started wiping their CV's off the zones and it felt like the tide was beginning to turn (I still had most of a fleet of aircraft to field too).
I love artillery spam !!
... second edit ...
I am beginning to know victory... I am playing against humans and have tasted success!.. twice.. in a row.. !!!
Odd things keep happening to my deck's while I'm not looking.. have they been changing whats available in mechanised decks?

Reviving this thread because ALB is on sale now for $20 on Steam for the next 48 hours or so. If you don't have it, get it!

I picked up European Escalation the other day. Lot's of fun. I just don't like th ewhole thing with having to be signed in to play single player.

You don't need to sign in for skirmish and campaign for ALB, and once you get the hang of EE, ALB should be a relatively easy adjustment, if you decide to pick that up too.

I wish I had more time to play this game!
I've gone backwards in skill through lack of practice - I keep making assaults with far too little materiel, and subsequently getting shot down for my haste.
Had a nice game or 3 with Empty, seems that the best strategy for beginner players is to find a decent defensive position with a good number of fall back positions and just sit there shooting the enemy as they advance across killing fields.
I love the fact that flanking and attacking supply routes is so effective in this game: if an enemy is in a town, hassle it from long range while flanking it and start attacking the reinforcement units heading into the town (probably down some unprotected road) and soon the town will be out of munitions and moral, ripe for the taking!
weird tip - send anti aircraft infantry on flanking missions across mountains on foot - for some reason infantry have no problem climbing anything, and maintain really good stealth while they do so!.. these will be a late game harassment and against humans can really distract them!

If that doesn't work you can get USB wireless adapters. I use a netgear one which has a strong connection, but has some issues with win8 now and again. Removing from USB and reinserting fixes normally though!
You are on my steam list arnt you? I'm pritty sure you are...

Did the easy campaign and lost it twice. Mission to take the port in 5 days, I was a day short first time, second time my units wouldn't attack so I was on the defensive foot, then nuked them. Lost but ill take the destruction victory.
