I'm sure this has been brought up somewhere before, but the incredibly weak search engine on the forum turned up nothing, so...
Can an MoO still call down the thunder from within a Chimera? I'm trying to decide if I want to put my CCS in a coffin stylin' ride, and if he can't, I probably won't.

I believe he can. Seeing as it counts as a Heavy 1 shooting attack and the chimera has its fancy-schmancy hatch that 5 models can make shooting attacks out of.

I have had my CCS (not PCS-corrected) in a Chimera with a MoO. And I've had him fire while in the Chimera.
I think the only consideration is that you can't do his blast weapon (Artillery Bombardment) in the same turn if he moved. So if the Chimera moved he can't fire his blast.

Yes, a Master of Ordnance can fire from inside a chimera. However, he can't fire if it moves.
