So I recently got 2 cadian shock troop boxed sets and 2 sets of mad robot heads to begin building my guard army... So anyway before I get too far into this project I wanted to test out my color scheme. So without further ado ;D...  He still needs to be weathered and dry brushed .. So what do you think? Your comments and criticism are greatly appreciated. forgive my poor [photography skills  |

That head looks amazing. Wasn't sure about them at first but simply fantastic.

The highlighting is a bit thick when in close up like this, though I am sure that they look ace when viewed on the table. The lighter green is quite refreshing, I ended up going with a yellow to make mine stand out a bit more. The head looks nice on there.

I like it! The green and the lighter colour looks good but I'm not sure about this dark one. The head also looks nice. Keep them coming.

Oooo I'm liking what I'm seeing! Very nice colour scheme, the different coloured helmet really adds something to it.
Have you done any more today? Or just this tester so far?

Just a tester so far...I, unfortunately, am an agonizingly slow painter...
I'm thinking I may try giving him a glaze/wash to bring all the colors together....

A very watered down wash. I think the colours work well already, so be light with the wash.

Ok glazes are done....  The armor one may have ended up a little dark.... I also managed to finish painting a squad sergeant....  |

Really effective colour scheme. If you can turn out squads of troopers at that quality you'll have a great looking army!

A new update! I wanted to test the one figure with the last type of mad robot head...I am quite pleased with the result..  (sorry the base isn't done ) This will probably be my last update for a while I am moving into a new apartment tomorrow and likely wont have my painting supplies set up for a little while... |

I agree, the head looks superb. Paint eyes also and it will be first class work. Are those arms converted?

You've got the actual model spot on, now I feel you just need to work a bit more on your basing just neaten the edge a bit more to make it smooth and they'll look super. |
