So what future releases are you all looking forward too?
Personally, Batlefield 4 is top of my list. Also the new GTA.
BF4: looks amazing. And they are intergrating tablets into the game so you play as normal, but set objectives / view maps etc on your iPad / other tablet or smart phone.
GTA: Don't know what to expect, but always like GTA games. Don't let me down Rockstar!!

ive never been so hyped about a game than i am about gta 5 ... and its a good thing too as it will hopefully be the last game i buy on the 360, until i get the xbox one...
the thing im a bit bummed about is that battlefield 4 is being relaesed first on the 360 then on the xbox one when the console is released... so i guess im waiting till the consoles release till i get battlefield 4, which im gutted about as i really really want BF4 and im gonna be missing out on it for a month or so... currently im still playing BF3 full time and trying hard to earn my s**t bucket till gta5 is out...
apart from those two, everything else will proberbly pass me by without me really noticing... well apart from DAYZ if it ever gets the standalone release... then il upgrade my pc and you guys wont hear from me again.

That's why I'm thinking about getting BF4 on the PC. It's costing me just a couple of hundred quid more for an amazeballs PC which I will get more benifit from than a console.
Iv been playing counter strike source lots this last week - trying to get muscle memory back for PC gaming. I still love bf3 on the ps3, but it's taken a massive side line, and won't be getting any new games for it.
Reds: I used to play Rome, but not been interested in the new one. I love Empire:total war, but my lap top struggled with it (PC boxed up at the time).

not really excited about any games right now. Got Rome 2 pre-ordered (hate myself for it) but not excited for it, total wars been down hill since Empire, and that's the one I like the most lol.
I am looking forward to more DLC for Metro Last Light.

What's wrong with empire? The only thing I didn't like was the way you had three seperate maps. I would have rather a full world map.
Anyway, I think I want Hearts of Iron 3. I played the first, but didn't spend the time to learn the game. However, I'm looking forward to being able to play civ5 when I get my new PC.

Hearts of Iron III is fun, especially since it's so easy to Mod. I just never got into Empire myself, but I love Med II. I'm currently playing the Third Age mod, which basically turns it into Lord of the Rings: Total War.

The cover system isn't great and the fact it's gunpowder era warfare makes it less fun, I prefer manly warfare... those crazy celt bastards covered in tattoos wielding great swords... epic

Civ 5 is great, but I find it gets boring late game :/ (played it about 6 hours tonight)
Got HoI3 and the expansion apart from their finest hour, it's fun but found I quickly got bored of it and found the wide range of units didn't work amazingly. But as above I like Paradox games for their modability. I just added tons of new ship names in them both, tank names and such when upgrading them. Plus some extra events and resources.
Empire to me was the best I enjoy the time it fits much better for a total war game. But it also had the key revolutions I found the game needed, 1 naval battles and Empire is the best time for them, 2 got rid of diplomats and it's done via embassies, 3 got rid of merchants and it's either a building or a fleet 4 tech tree. Yeah it was lacking and should of had more refinement, CA admitted they rushed it but that was due to them having to build that engine.
Napoleon was a down step as it really narrowed the world and aim of the game, the tech tree and building list was tiny but did have a nice campaign mission section oh and units fired like bolt action rifles! Shogun 2...yesh, very pretty but not a huge amount of fun. very fast game play and forces you to try and steamroll the map and pays to not have allies as they will all stab you in the back due to realm divide.
Only 2 things I like so far from the rummors of Rome 2 is large tech tree and the AI no longer cheats.
Reds you might like the Rome 2 community then, CA claims it will be their most modable game they have made.
What do people hope the next Total war will be? me and friends hoping towards a Victoria total war.

vegna: They can't move much past Victorian era stuff because beyond that, the large block formations of the TW series sort of break down. CA also has the rights to Warhammer Fantasy Battle, as I recall. Also, have you tried Fall of the Samurai? Much, MUCH better than basic Shogun II. With some of the custom maps and mods out there, you can have some pretty epic battles.Reds

I'm looking forward to a little bit of presidenting in SR4. And FF13 Lightning Returns is likely to be the last game I ever buy for a console. I have $60 set aside for that in Feb. SR4 was the first game I preordered since games came as little gray cartridges.

Yeah I know why I laugh when people ask for a world war 1/2 total war. It would work from 1800-1900 or a china total war based around the three kingdoms. Yeah I've got Fall of the Samurai, loved the naval bombardment feature.
