When I was young, they was a game called Cossacks and it quickly became one of my favorite strategy games, followed only by the original Total Annialation. As time moved on, computers became better to the point where Cossacks couldn't run - well, it would run, but crashed more often than not. Anyway, since iv been turned back to PC gaming iv been looking for the old favourites and discovered both Cossacks and Cossacks II with expansions. They now support the newer OS so I'm hoping I will be able to rekindle my love for Cossacks multiplayer.
So first question:
Who else plays / wants to play?
Are they any problems with multiplayer / game in general?

I used to play this a lot. So much that I really don't want to play it until I have some 40k stuff painted.
That said, it's great if you choose Denmark (if you're playing back to war, cossacks 1), then with 60 minutes peace time, for the first 45 minutes you only do economic stuff/ upgrades, get all your gold mines up to 95 workers/ mine (this costs loads of resources, btw), then do all the iron and coal mines. Then just watch your resources sky rocket. For some reason Danish 18th century musketeers outshoot everyone else in this version and they're grenadiers to boot.

Originally online I always played as Turkey or Algeria but you can only win early on, without peace time, with those. As soon as anyone else gets into the 18th c, your horse archers get creamed by the thousand. Later on after I'd learned about economic upgrades at home I only played using Hungary or Denmark.
Winged Hussars were only from Poland, right?

Denmark have best muskets. I always played as England and loved big Navys!
Yeah I think so....
