A mate of mine has started collecting Dark Eldar and I have no idea what to expect. Hence, I would like to convene the Strategic Counsel of Badass Generals Against Dark Eldar Swine (SCOBGADES)...I guess not all groups can have kick ass acronyms. Specifically: -What should I look out for? -What has funky obscure rules? -What is going to mess me up? -What should I field against this army? Regards, Your Awe-Inspiring Leader " Solider: Why is this godforsaken hellhole worth dying for? Captain Zapp Brannigan: Don't ask me. You're the ones who are going to be dying"

look out for venoms riding trueborns; be wary of their poison rule; fielding infantry and close combat oriented guard is unwise against them; field mechanized guard against them.

Do you find few blobs of large numbers works well or should I opt for smaller squads?

I have found infantry squads outside of chimeras are not very effective against DE. With mass poison fire and bladevaining reaver jet bikes, your squads will be cut apart fast. Also with their high mobility they can out manoeuvre big slow blobs. With chimeras you mitigate the damage their poison weapons can do and then you just need to target enemy units with blasters and dark lances to keep your vehicles alive.

Unfortunately I don't field any Hydra's otherwise I would have thought that would be a given against them.
I love my Heavy Weapon Teams dearly however they just die so quickly but I can't think of any other decent options to field mass firepower.
