As the heresy grows I am wondering if anyone knows of a chronology which details a brief summary of the events as written in the novels... I'm intrigued by some of the events yet don't have time to read through the books.
This is cheating I know - thgough I'd love to know the lore without having to read lots of onomatopoeia.

I don't know if there's a better summary than on Wikipedia. Heresy (novels) is the page, about halfway down there is a synopsis of each book.

Not a chronology, but the wiki page has a brief paragraph on each book. I've read them all pretty much in order, up to book 21, which I'm reading now. Wiki HH novelsAdmittedly the wiki page is pretty crap. I just read the paragraph about book 5 (Fulgrim), and it mentions nothing of the Laer aliens that worshipped Slaaanesh, how they actually corrupted the Emperors Children and the magnificent Slaanesh theatre that develops eventually. Also book 9(Mechanicum) makes no mention of titans even though it's pretty much the major theme of the entire novel..... Book 22 is a compilation (as is book 10) and in this book was a majorly important short story about how an Imperial Fist fleet gets caught in a warp storm, deliberately cast at them by the Iron Warrior fleet commanded by Perturabo. The IF fleet is supposed to be commanded by 1st co captain Sigismund (Templar founder) but he pulled out last minute and the fleet is really commanded by Alexis Polux, so Perturabo .. gets pretty angry... Battle of PhallAnd that story kind of links on to the book I'm reading now. After the battle of Phall, Perturabo has his bodyguards replaced by battle robots (the Iron Circle) as he's mega-paranoid. What's interesting to note is that some Traitor Legions are infinitely more corrupted by Chaos than other Legions. The Word Bearers, for instance, started secretly worshipping chaos pretty early and the Emperor's Children got corrupted early on, so they have mutants/ noise marines/ possessed from before Istvaan. But other Legions get corrupted at a later date. Currently the book I'm reading is after the battle of Phall but Perturabo still knows nothing of Chaos beyond his early life slight corruption studying warp mathematics and having visions of the Eye of Terror from early childhood. His legion have no mutants... yet but they have started becoming slightly evil. Some even start backstabbing each other, so their corruption is still under way.
