Hey all, I am finally making some good forward momentum on my WWI styled siege guard and there is a rather nice sale coming up at my flgs which is bringing me thoughts as to how I should expand my army vehicle wise... As it stands I have the CCS with MoO, body guards, etc., vet squad (and most of the parts to make another one), a platoon with 5 squads, 2 special weapon squads, 5 heavy weapons squads with autocannon, and a conscript blob. Vehicle wise they have a Deathstrike artillery spotter, 3 colossus siege mortars, 4 griffin heavy mortars, 3 hydra flak trucks, a hellhound, and of course a pair of bane blades (one plastic, one ancient Armorcast). Given that the sale is buy two get one free on everything, I am torn my furthering the artillery aspect to an extreme with 6 basilisk or getting 3 basilisk and 3 hellhounds.

Since you can't possibly use all your heavy options at once, I think I'd go for the second option since it broadens your choices.
On the other hand, you could get the six Basilisks, convert the guns to emplacements and convert the vehicles to something else -- Hellhounds, even, since you should have plenty of heavy-flamer bits left over from all those vehicles.
