Hello I've reached a difficult place and can't figure out how to over come this problem. Basically I'm happy with scheme of green fatigues and grey armour and I'm happy with the method of painting using the airbrush to create zenith shading. This looks good up close but from a tabletop view the subtle shading can not be seen. I tried secret weapons green - black wash but I ended up losing all the shading. I need a method of defining the shadows and a choice of green to make the model "pop" through dry brushing without destroying the shading. Ideas? Here is some examples of the fatigues so far campl.us/cXL2EoA5bZm

Try some red shade/ink - sounds crazy but red+green = black/brown. Then a **light** dry brush of light green or even beige colour. If it's too much some green glaze/ink to tone it down.
