I am planning to run Al'Rahem and 2 or 3 PIS in chimera APCs but was wondering what special and/or heavy weapons to give them?
I was thinking for Al'Rahem and his PCS a heavy flamer and 3 flamers to go with the chimera ML and HHF for some burny fun. Then for the PIS I was thinking all melta so each squad has the possibility to open a vehicle allowing the vehicle to use the ML and HHF to deal with the content or some nearby annoyance.
Just for info the rest of the list is as follows:
CCS with Creed, Kell, MoO, Astropath, medic 3 snipers
PCS vox PIS plasma auto cannon PIS plasma auto cannon vox commissar PIS plasma auto cannon HW squad mortars HW squad mortars HW squad lascannons HW squad lascannons or auto cannons
Guardsman Marbo
Hellhound or Devil Dog
So basically what I am looking for as the title suggests; what should I stick on Al'Rahems boys as a flank assaulting force?

Well, I run my Al'Rahem platoon like this:
Platoon Command Squad - 175 - Al'Rahem - 4x Grenade Launchers - Chimera w/ Multi-laser, hull Heavy Flamer 2x Infantry Squads - 260 - Flamer - Autocannon - Krak Grenades - Chimera w/ Multi-laser, hull Heavy Flamer
The idea is to have an outflanking mid-to-deep-field attack force that can handle anything short of a Land Raider. They rush in, clear the area, then set up to camp on an objective or firing position. With 25 scoring bodies, three AV 12 gun tanks and the rest of my force supporting them, they should be able to do just that, although I am tempted to upgrade the grenade launchers in Al'Rahem's squad to meltaguns so they can take on Land Raiders as well.

I would hold off because it sounds like al might not be in the new codex.
