So if you have Pask with Preferred Enemy does it impact the 'gets hot' roll at all? i.e. can you reroll any 1's from the 'gets hot' rolls.
My opinion is NO because the 'gets hot' is not a hit roll.
If there is something in the rules that enable this I need direction to the rule because I don't see anything.
Thanks

Prefered enemy does actually allow you to reroll the get's hot roll. It's in the rulebook under get's hot and rerolls.

Gamma016, thanks for that. I would have steered glutebite wrong because I haven't gotten the new 7th ed book yet. Way back in 6th Ed when you fired a "gets hot" blast weapon before you did anything else you rolled a d6. If you rolled a 1 it "got hot" with any other result you then placed the template, scattered, figured hits and wounds like any other blast.
With preferred enemy, it looks like the tank commander with Pask option is getting more and more appealing.

It works the same way as it did in 6th edition dcrab. However it does state that you can reroll the get' shot result if you have prefered enemy.

Gamma - Thanks for the response.
On Pg 164 the very last sentence of the 'Gets Hot' rules is what I was looking for specifically. It confirms that weapons that do not roll 'To Hit' such as the Executioner Plasma Cannons (Main and Sponsons) do get the ability to reroll their 'Gets Hot' rolls which are enabled by "Preferred Enemy".
I spent a few minutes discussing this with another player on Tuesday who was pretty adamant that you couldn't. We both looked at rule and missed the very last sentence.
