This is my obligatory "I'm new!" post, and also an army list.
I have played just one game of 7th Edition, though I'm not exactly new to the hobby. I played 40K during 3rd and 4th Editions, but I have been through a bit of a dry spell in which I skipped 5th and 6th Editions and sold off a lot of my models. So, I am starting over more-or-less from scratch with nothing painted. My avatar represents the current state of my forces. Hopefully I can update it with some painted miniatures in the near future.

Fast Attack 1: Hellhound Squadron

Fortification Detachment
1 Aegis Defensive Line w/ quad-gun
This is intended to be the core of a larger force, which is why it has Creed in it, even though it's hard to get the full benefit of his tactical genius at this size of game. He largely eliminates the need for vox casters, so he does come with a built-in price break.
Tactics are about what you'd expect. It's got a blob and an Aegis line, a senior officer for orders and a psyker for buffs. The mobile elements are geared towards burning enemy troops with "Objective Secured" off of their objectives with template weapons.
