The rules were printed in the 6th edition main rule book. For whatever reason GW didn't put any actual fortification dataslate pages in the 7th edition book while still leaving a fortification slot in the FOC (what's up with that?). The rules also appear in Stronghold Assault which is still in use, though I'm not sure if it is legal for normal games of 40k (it probably is though). What is the easiest way to get the points and rules? Well I certainly wont PM you the information tomorrow.

Because forum rules don't allow us to discuss the actual points value, all I can do is reveal that its the same points as a bare bones IG Infantry squad from an infantry platoon ,just for the aegis line. The quad gun itself costs the same and the icarus lascannon is the same points cost as an SM/ CSM rhino.
I think they removed the rules from the BRB because there are so many types of FORT now that they need a book unto themselves.

For guard the aegis line looks good but as I'm playing marines now I don't want to use one - even though I mostly play gunline. I'd rather get a land speeder or something mobile and trust in my armour. Actually the first list I wrote included an aegis line + quad gun, then I tore it up and rewrote it and managed to wangle 2 land speeder typhoons into the list by dropping a power fist on a sgt and the aegis + quad.
