So I thought this was the big new thing with GW was doing supplements. Have not seen or heard anything for Guard though. Anyone else?

No, there were rumours for steel legion and catachan supplements.
They've been displaced recently by rumours of :
A) Adeptus Mechanicus codex and skitarri models (which would be an ace ALLY to use with guard)
B) Harlequin codex for the Eldar and new kit, which apparently will have separate masks.
C) Rumours of new chaos cult power armoured marine kits: plague marines and maybe 'zerkers later, but importantly they will be larger marines to cater for new 32mm bases.
If all of those come true it'll make the game much more interesting. They're all over all the rumour sites, Warseer, Dakka Dakka and BoLS Lounge.

Bummer about the guard supps.
Admech sounds cool, espcially thrown with a Knight.
Harley's could be cool.
Meh Chaos.

This may sound strange, but I really hope they don't release an Admech codex. They're struggling to keep the codecies they already have updated (although punching out a new rules system every year and a half doesn't help either). If they actually do release Admech, I hope it's more like the Inquisition, where it's intended to be a supplement force.

The guard dex is so big and varies it offers most players the variety needed so that they can build the armies they want legally.
It would be nice to see some more formations but I don't hold out for a supplement.
Harlequins would be great though, I believe the keepers of the black library should be entitled to their own book!

I think AdMech might be a false rumour, or else someone is getting 30k forge world rumours mixed up with mainstream 40k. It would make more sense for FW to release Skitarrii as they already have a whole host of Mechanicus vehicles, robots and techpriests that they literally released in the last year. Plus 30k isn't that incompatible with 7th but the system is based on 6th so you can still use 30k mechanicus in 40k with opponents permission.
Harlequins used to have a reputation as the best army ever. If the jetbikes get redone Eldar players will be happy.

I have not seen a single rumor about Imperial Guard suppliments. Gak, we don't even get any formations. I saw a tank formation in White Dwarf, but that's white dwarf, and if you don't have that issue, you're kinda of boned on using it. Plus, for competative players, those White Dwarf formations are not tournament legal (am both casual and competative, so that happens to be irksome to me that we don't have any fancy rules yet)
I have heard a ton about Harlequins, and I think it would be cool to paint some, but my heart bleeds for the Emperor and I would never run a xenos army (besides Tyranids because 'Nids are cool as hell)
Too much Space Marine crap lately. Wolves, Angels, Grey Knights, Dark Angels, all updated within the last year or less. Very annoying
Guard needs to some lovin'

Ahem!Plus with the new BA kits getting 32mm bases, they might even redo the whole Astartes line.. Again... and again.. and again, again.

im not rebasing an entire company of space marines if the 32mm bases come out. im only half way through painting the company now. what gets me about having a new mark of armour is that apparently humanity is meant to be gradually loosing its advanced techs since the time of heresy so now everything is treated like a holy relic by mechanicus.

Yeah it's a demoralising thought. It might be possible to glue larger counters under the base for minimal effort, but then you're making your army illegal for older editions (kind of). I might just stick to older editions but then I'll have to go out and quickly get all the books :/

I don't think its a problem with editions for me as models are not individually specified base sizes, for example imperial knights bases are not set in stone they just turned up one day in the box.
the bigger issue is are all old armour patterns going to be smaller and so look stupid against the new armour pattern which may actually match the fluff to be honest in the fact that space marines should tower over guard etc. They should have made that decision years ago before people started to build larger armies.
the problem with base spacer / expanders whatever you call them (which are available) is that ive got textured bases all over no clean painted sides of the base so id have to scratch the whole lot off to fit them.
hey maybe everyone would just boycott space marines. we should start a campaign lol

on the other hand maybe its true that the 40k story is going to move on / there will be a major event and possibly the emperor returns or dies and transfers his spirit to Roberte guilliman who then starts creating more powerful pre heresy gene seed causing the space marines to appear larger again lol
would love it if abbadon actually conquered earth. except they used to run campaigns in white dwarf that represented things like arrmageddon etc but bet they wont do it now.

If the new rumoured Mk 9 kit is bigger and the basis of redesigning the whole line then that would indeed be gutting. Personally I don't think it'll happen like that; I mean everything would have to be upscaled; bikes, landspeeders, rhinos, land raiders, you name it. As it stands the only thing that hasn't been plasticised yet in the entire marine range are the thunderfire cannon and the techmarines/ servitor sets, so for them to just drop everything so quickly after the last time the Tactical box got redesigned, would just be financial suicide/ extreme stupidity. If push came to shove and they did drop the entire range, you could always restock 'smaller' marines from Forge World. In fact the Mark 6 kit would be ideal for my main marine army; I'm already siphoning Mk 7s into another project and keeping the 6s for my main army as it expands.
To be honest there are just too many rumours right now ; genestealer cults, sisters of battle, 30k plastic starter sets, upsized marines, adeptus mechanicus for 40k and new greater daemons to name a few..

I'm sure about as many people would sell off their old collections, to build up pure big space marine armies as would want to buy up the old marines to complete their collections so it should reach an equilibrium.

Hopefully it'll just be the Horus Heresy starter box, which means it isn't 'Mark 9' but probably a redesigned Mark 5 stop-gap armour for the Isstvaan drop-site massacre.

begs an interesting question regarding what forge world might do next after HH has run its course and gw possibly start doing plastics for it. maybe forge world start relaunching classic games like epic 40k or bf gothic but upscale the models a touch so they can get a little more detail on them.
