Greetings all, 2015 brings the beginning of a new army for me. Although Guard will always be first and foremost, the Space Wolves won the draw and will be my next force. 2015, the year of the WOLF! My question is this: I would like to add an allied detachment of Blood Angels to my Wolves. My plan is to convert a Sanguinary Priest to be a Wolf Priest (Mark of Wulfen) and use a squad of Death Company (modeled as Wulfen). The rules for the Death Company fit rather well with werewolf marines if you ask me! My problem is filling out the troop choices so I can take the Elite Death Company. Priest fills mandatory HQ choice and Death Company are elites, so I still need two troop choices. My thoughts were to take two squads of Scouts and model them as Handlers or Monitors for the Wulfen. Not all that fluffy, but its all I can come up with, So to all the creative minds that play Wolves or Sons of Sanguinious: What do you think I should use as my troop allotment? I do want whatever I take to be modeled as Space Wolves so please keep that in minds and let the creativity flow!!

I think you will need 3 troop choices:
The primary army has 1 HQ and 2 Troop mandatory,
The allies army has 1 HQ and 1 Troop mandatory.
sorry!

I think he is looking for blood angles troop choices, which you will only need one of. I think almost any blood angle can fit a mark of the wulfen, rabid attack dogs style. What ever you get I'd load them up with assualt weapons and maybe meltas.

Normal BA tactical marines and Grey Hunters are almost the same. The only differences are quite cosmetic; BA have The Black Rage, which is just a 1/6 chance of getting Rage and Fearless (unless the rule changed in the new codex) and you can equip the GH with more assault/ special weapons, no heavy. The other difference is that GH have no sgt/ character unless they get upgraded to Wolf Guard. So you could get a 5-10 BA tac squad, staying away from heavy weapons and upgrade sgt to veteran 'counts as' wolf guard squad leader. Stay away from scouts; Wolf scouts are the opposite of other chapter 'novices'; more like the best lone wolf veterans and they are old, not young. Young Wolves just out of training are relegated to Blood Claw squads - hence the lower WS / BS on Blood Claws.
