hey guys i'm looking to pick up 40k again after a long hiatus, i played allot in 5th and a little in the beginning of 6th so i'm effectively new to 7th as well as the new codex. My goal is to make a decently competitive list, this is what i came up with:

This is based off of what i played in 6th with some modifications. The blob is joined by the priest and sits behind the defense line to form a bubble wrap around my heavy support while the chimeras form a mobile element that can get to midfield objectives later in the game. However with reduced fire points on chimeras i'm debating if this formation will still be able to dish out the fire power to push froward into the midfield, would a more infantry heavy list be more competitive? I've given flamers to my blob as their primary roll is to block assaults so the overwatch helps and in my experience they've been more worthwhile than grenade launchers. In the past i would have also given the PCS flamers but with only two fire points now flamer drive byes seem lackluster; I have replaced them with melta guns to serve as a last resort for any heavy vehicles vendettas or vanquishers haven't destroyed. With dozer blades being five points now I've put them on my chimeras because in my experience being able to go through terrain with a almost non existent risk of immobilization is quite valuable. I'd like to have a primaris or inquisitor of some sort in the blob for divination and some special weapon squads in the vendettas but I'm pretty strapped for points. If you've got any suggestions for the list I'd love to hear them
