Honestly, Hail Caesar Fantasy is where it's at. I'm actually a little surprised you didn't burn down GW HQ on principle after the new Fantasy rules dropped. I was too busy laughing at the new models. Besides, this was always going to happen. GW is stripping out as much real world/historical influences as possible. Another reason is the new Perry French infantry kit will round out a line of Empire/Bretonnian perfection. The Old World will live on. www.perry-miniatures.com/pages.php?page=plastics-workbench&osCsid=la82ev7go2g5gi8togvmj126i2Currently, my wrath is reserved for historical rules writers who don't understand how pikes work and why I keep having to tweak other peoples rules. Question: For adapting HC Fantasy, is it reasonable to treat ogres packs as barbarians and giants as slow, hittier elephants?

I love perry minaiatures. I have tons of their American Civil War sets and have been eyeing up the war of the roses sets for my empire army. I just wish my local store wasn't an actual GW so I could use them there.

I was looking at the Foundry Renaissance section with a mind to making an Empire army. The only things putting me off are finances and the fact that the landsknecht cavalry horses are unarmoured. All metal fantasy armies rock. Just like old times again.
Looking at the new Sigmarines, I was also thinking that the handful of Dark Angels I'm currently assembling on 32mm bases would make amazing proxies for them. If they get some kind of chariot I could get some landspeeders to proxy as well. The DV company commander, which I got at a sale price of £2.50, already looks really medieval, with that 2-handed relic blade and a combi-plasma poking out from under his robes.

In five years time we find out that the submarines are really a secret chapter of space marines that have been trained beyond the edge of the imprium and are being sent back in time to defeat chaos so that the horus heresy never happened! The eldar comondeer the realm gates, transport the elves to 40k time and proceed to conquer the galaxy once more before being eaten by tyrannies, don't worry though as the emperor comes back to life obtains an all powerful warhammer from the fantasy realm, travels into dark space to find the original tyrannies queen, beats it to death, returns calling himself lord revan but then reveals he is actually an eldar. Warhammer 50000 age of nonsense is now born, copyright games workshop 2020.

If this is true then the Fallen Angels might be hiding in a different time dimension. (Trying to justify proxying Dark Angels as Sigmarines while on a secret cross-dimensional mission)

So the tyranids are running away from the Submarines, who went back in time? The Tyranids aren't from another galaxy they're from an alternate past that the Submarine's drove them from. As the Submarine's travel back in time the Tyranids flee forwards into the 41st millennium.

But the Lizardmen and Dwarf/ Squats are also fleeing with the Tyranids so it's all getting a bit like Noah's Ark. Someone needs to make Dwarf Slayers riding on Carnifexes, riding on Stegadons.

No but the Ork roleplay group have a Carnifex cage. I think.... (My Orkish isn't up to scratch.) No, the Carnifex needs to be riding a chariot pulled by Stegadons. Obviously. Can the Carnifex wear a Santa hat as well?
