They look great!
The colour scheme although time consuming looks very striking.
What’s next on the painting table?

I'm actually now kinda liking the scheme, it just took a few days of picking them up and inspecting everytime I walked by haha. Working on some more sisters now. A 5 girl heavy weapon squad (retributers?) A cannoness and the leader/preacher girl at the pulpit. I really should learn their names haha. Should he done by tomorrow

Looking good again.
Really like the scrolls and book on the last model.
You’re putting these out at speed. Do you batch paint or do them individually?

Looks like you're making some good progress on these, and they look great.

Definitely batch, I mix alot of my own colors so it makes it alot more practical to do 5-10 at a time to keep consistency. I'm working on 10 arcoflagellents now and it's a nightmare. So much flesh. Looks like you're making some good progress on these, and they look great. Cheers man, it's a slow race but a steady one

It obviously works for you!
I can’t paint more than 3 at a time, I crave that sense of completion. Also my attention span is pretty limited!
Arcoflagellants are fantastic models, good luck with them.

10 hours well spent I’d say!
They turned out really well.
I’ve heard they are a bit of a handful on the battlefield?

I have no idea battlefield wise haha. My last game was the beginning of 8th and that was with guard.

Nice job!
It’s a shame there won’t be more Sisters for a while.
Though I’m looking forward to more for the Tracian Forces!

The flagellants and penitents are super cool, really tempting me to start a SoB army.. but I'd have source some of the old style rhino's and vehicles first. Actually I should probably finish some other projects first... but the models are still cool

Cheers guys. I've got celestine and friends half done but taking a break for the week since the parents decided for the first time in the three years since I've been in texas to visit. However they did come bearing gifts! They saved my empire army which survived the great steal from my thingy ex roommate! Plus a few extras I had sitting at their house. Full army is: -A lord with his personal banner and musician -8 knights that form ^his honor guard -20 greatswords that are the professional elite soldiers of the castle -10 halbediers -10 swordsmen -15 spearman -16 gunners (these last four units I want to expand and represent the town surrounding the keeps small standing army) -2 wizards (one fire and one death) on sabbatical from the college -10 free company roused from the local pub -10 crossbowmen from the hunting guild outside of town -2 cannons and crew -16 dwarves visiting from the nearby mines to protect a caravan They pretty much all need a nice simple green bath... And some reinforcements of a scion command squad, termi chaplain, two additional hero marines left over from a project I was doing years ago (I wanted to paint a special hero from each of the 9 original founding chapters, these two are a raven guard jump captain and a dark angel confessor) and a 5 man scout squad that is all that remains of my lost Lamenters force. Need some ideas for what to do with the scouts since DW doesn't have them.

That’s a pretty big haul to land in your lap!
Your Scions seem to be in a similar colour scheme to my Krieg! (Great minds think alike!)

Nice haul! I've been thinking about starting an Empire or Bretonnian army in anticipation of new 'the old world' game from forgeworld. There's a steady increase in WHFB 3d/stl releases, it's nice to see that people are just making their own stuff now if GW decides to minimize support for a faction.

They didn't technically fall into my lap, just were hidden at my parents house the last few years so they were all mine originally. And jud, the scions are the same scheme as the rest of my guard (mostly). They just only have the green and grey base coats so far and with light lighting look bluish, your scheme is safe Haha.
Nutty, I've only played a single game of AoS when it came out but have had the empire army since I think either 5 or 6th edition warhammer. They are just a great break from 40k hobby wise so I highly recommend getting your teeth stuck into some fantasy.
But seriously any ideas for what to do with the five scouts? I was thinking maybe putting a bit of GS embellishment and turning them into some kind of inquisitorial bodyguard but they don't really look the part.

Not sure on that one. Anything goes when it comes to the Inquisition.
Could make them Servitors or something?

Hmm, they are currently started as lamenters from when I had a sizable force of them but unfortunately I just dont have the heart to remake them now (especially starting with scouts). It just took too much to paint them last time and I just wouldn't be able to give them the attention they would deserve. If only deathwatch had some kind of veteran scouts kinda like the space wolves. It would take some GS work to make them look more venerable but could be a cool hobby project even if they arnt game legal.
The other option I'm thinking about doing them up as my old homebrew chapters, The Disciples. They were my first 40k army some 15 years ago (started with Lord of the Rings) and the chess board style black and white was waaaaay too advanced for me back then (but that didn't stop me from trying...over and over...with zero improvement...). It would still definitely fit in with the Tracian forces as the Disciples have their fortress monastery on the main planet of the system (all my armies go together) and would just be something I could every once in a while add to. With the fluff I had written up for them in my teen years, they were basically decimated from an internal chaotic betrayal leading to the massive civil war on Tracia which would mean I finally have zero excuse to not get some Primaris reinforcements.
Final option is heavy GS and kitbash parts to make them some kind of inquisitorial bodyguards. As much as I like the idea of doing an inquisitorial war and again, I just dont think they fit the bill. I'm very picky haha

Inquisitorial henchmen could work, or just scouts from a certain chapter working with the inquisition or other imperial faction to well.. scout ahead.

I really like the idea of having a joint connection between your whole collection. I might have to resurrect the “Second Barbarossa Crusade” to theme my collection too.
Primaris would be a great addition to the the Tracian Forces. It’ll be good to see your own take on them!

Definitely leaning towards restarting the disciples so that'll probably be the winner. Have to wait till I get home though, enjoying some light reading in Hawaii for now...

Finally got the paints back out but nothing serious, just a single space marine captain. This is 1st Brother Raolin Veratus champion the 8th company of the Disciples chapter of Tracia. First time painting a disciple in probably 12 years. They were my first 40k army when I switch from lotr at 13. I stuck with the orginal scheme I used then, which is unfortunate since my young dumb self thought a chess board style black and white split scheme would be a good idea to paint a hundred+ times. Well this time around atleast I can kinda paint white haha. This is the very slow start to rebuilding the chapter whenever I need a break from my other projects. Also finecast is literally the worst fully share
