I'm about to buy a baneblade not sure what variant I am going to make but that isn't important. I don't have a data sheet for it and don't really want to buy escalation because it looks filled with information for every army and I only really need one page. Is it worth buying or other than the data sheet is it filled with the same rules as I can get in the rule book? And if it's not, is there a cheaper way to get the data sheet other than a dodgy PDF of the net. Any help would be great cheers

Some list building programs will have the stats included if you select the unit for your roster. Battlescribe and Army Builder are both free, or have free demos that you can try. That won't tell you everything, but it's enough to give you an idea of the stats and rules. Some Forgeworld Baneblade variants may also have free rules.
Alternatively, if you're part of a gaming club or a group of regulars at a gaming store, you could all pitch in, buy the book, and just make copies of the pages you want.
