I tried to warn everyone when the Angel nipples happened. I tried to warn them that it was the start of something much, much worse. But no one listened.

To be fair Commander Dante has similar armour to the sanguinary guard (and he's 1000 years old or something uber-ridiculous) but he has a scroll bikini. It's probably why they get the Black Rage; not wanting to wear the gold nipple armour when they get promoted..

Taurox is a great cut though. I haven't glued half the pieces on mine and it fits together on the table top just fine. It looks a lot more like a woodlouse in the Codex concept art. I wonder if people would have liked it more if it looked more like that.

Probably. I think they'd have more success if they thought like vehicle designers, or used WWII/Korea/Vietnam era designs as a base. Keep the design rugged looking, but simple and functional (i.e. four sets of treads is ridiculous), and, you know, don't design it so the flamethrowers are pointing at the doors the passengers come out of.

Yeah, they totally got told to shove too much stuff on the Taurox. If you leave it with one weapon on the top, don't add all the ornate panels, and switch up the tracks to whatever looks right to you (I kinda like the derpy tracks now) then it isn't half bad.

I kinda want one a half track. They do make those nifty conversion kits, then you get extra bits for... y'know, creative kit bashes.

It has provided me with some seriously sweet bits for my Orks. The forcefield blades for my Morkanaut, front panel for a kustom killa kan kit bash, punisher jr. for an ork bike. And if I replace the front treads then they'll do nicely for a grot gun or a tracked nob/kan.

It already is an ork trukk with 'ard case and big shoota but you can upgrade the shoota to a missile launcher - and all this straight out of the kit, not much gubbinz required, so sez da Big Mek.

Somebody want to throw me an update? I heard some Cadian supplement was released only electronically via Black library. Was that what all this specilation here in about a new codex was about?... or do we still have a codex coming out?
Is there a link to the juicy details in another thread I'm just not seeing?
Is Everybody is off playing with this new codex and I'm sitting around here not even knowing its out?

There wasn't a codex in the end; just the formations in the Mont'kka book for Guard and Tau. Then there was a mini space marine update (again formations only for marines but Tau got new units and a mobile defence line that hovers on an anti-grav machine) in the Kau'yon book, which was out November last year.
Now rumours are pointing to a Daemons VS Space Wolves campaign book being next up, probably quite soon, with the Wulfen being rereleased. The Wulfen were part of the 13th Co., lost in the warp for 10k years, and the rumours are also saying (possibly) that the campaign will be about these wolfy dudes showing up out of the warp, bringing daemons with them and then being hunted by the GK and DA for being hairy and bringing daemons with them.

Wait... so now that I can complain about not getting a codex does that mean I'm no longer a noob? I always dreamed of this day! Year's ago in Sci-fi city complaining about how much the Warmachine's in the game called Warmachine performed like retarded plushy dolls. I would hear 40k player's several tables down, complaining about not getting a codex. Good times!

There's a pecking order of who has the right to complain the most. Right now it's Sisters of Battle, then Chaos marines being neglected like crazy.
In fact I think a lot of long term Chaos Legion players just switched to FW Horus Heresy rules to get their Legion specific bonuses (like Alpha Legion being sneaky infiltrators)

Speaking of, losing catachans is going to make building Lost and the Dammed armies more difficult.

Re-cut boxes of guard. 5 guardsmen for £30. Why, that sounds downright evil. And feasible. And likely. Goddammit I hate gw. When I started out, I could get 20 guardsmen for 30 euro. Now it's 10 for 20.
