113th silverskulls

Today We have another update. 5 commissars from the commissariat fresh to the Silverskulls. They where finished pretty quick probably because it broke up the monotone of a normal color scheme. But i know what you guys are saying...."Just show me the models lol."

Like all other updates we start with a group photo.


First close up is of Commissar Mireia. This little lady has earned many battle honors and close to getting promoted to Lord Commissar. Armed with the ASUS pattern D-6 Explosive shell Tactical machine gun (Bolter) and her trusty power sword. (This is also my winter themed commissar with her heavy coat)



Then we have commissar Regine. He is a smug man but highly trained in marksman ship. He expects nothing less then perfection of his men and has been known to hold 24 hour training punishments for even the slightest of infractions in a soldiers uniform. Armed with the ASUS D-6(Bolter)



The newest of commissars is commissar Agrmant. He has just been promoted to the rank of commissar and ASUS is his very first assignment. Upon arrival Asus has Presented him with there ceremonial knife that they award to all commissars as sign of respect. He also is armed with the ASUS Clinbor close quarter pistol (Laspistol)



This next commissar I armed with a powerfist and a powersword. It was more for looks but I also did it so I can choose which one I want him to have for a battle. So here we have Commissar Schulze. He is a very well equipped commissar believing that war isn't just won by tactics but by a better equipped army. He excels at tactical thinking and mission logistics but that doesn't stop him from showing the emperors wraith to the foes of the imperium.



Lastly we have Commissar Gastelum. When Gastelum was a young kid in the commissar training program he fell to major seziers in the middle of training. When he awoke he said to everyone that he was touched by the emperor and was filled with holy zeal from that moment on. After being cleared of possible chaos taint by the local Inquisitor he returned to training. From that moment on people say that every-time the eve before any battle that Gastelum is filled with such holy rage and zeal that he becomes and unstoppable killing machine. Whether he was touched by the emperor or just got messed up in the head from seizers only one thing ring trues he is a monster in the fires of combat and he expects nothing less of his men. After being assigned to ASUS he was honored with one of ASUS's very first Plasma Pistol The T-62. Plasma technology is still new to the people of ASUS but there scientists have shown that they are very adapt at replicating its technology.




And that its fellow IG members. As of right now Im waiting for the weapons to come in for my Veterans and as soon as they come in ill get to work on them. After my veterans ill be working on another chimera for them. So until next time you guys enjoy yourselves.

Alrighty today we have another update for the 113th Silverskulls, Through the crucible of war ASUS decided to attach one of there elite units to the 113th. This unit is none other then the Silver Ghosts a unit of veterans who infiltrate the battlefield sometimes weeks before the actual battle begins. Through trial and error they have become masters of Camouflage stating that camo cloaks are for the week real men make there own gully suits.

So first like always we will go with a group shot of the unit then we will do shots of three at a time. The unit is a forward sentries veteran squad so thats why they all have gully suits.


Now we have a close up of the first three Silver Ghosts. The special weapons section. Starting from left to right we First watch Danko and First Watch Noakes they are the squads plasma experts and armed with the ASUS pattern plasma guns. These guns are still experimental and tend to overheat more often then regular plasma guns but tend to me more accurate in return. Then we have the units marksman First watch First watch Trimori he holds the regiments record for putting a bullet through a silver coin at 1/2 mile away. The well placed round is one of the last thing many of chaos scum has seen before they died.


Next we have the squad leader a shot gunner and the squads heavy weapon experts. First there First Watch Ikue armed with the C-26 combat shotgun. Ikue is the squads maniac always stating that "I have a smoking problem and i dont mean my cigars." Next we have Lance Watch Erlendsdottir but the squad just balls him bull. This is due to when people miss pronounce his name they feel like they have been hit by one. Then we have First Watch Waage and First Watch Dawid the squads anti tank hunters. There kill record is only matched by there determination to be the best. They refuse to ever have there trusty lascannon "necessary" to ever leave there sites, they have even been known to sleep with it when back in the barracks.


Lastly we have the last three shotgun experts of the unit First Watch Lombardi, Rinkutatakiarika, and Zinachukwudi. Lonbardi is the son of a great ASUS hero where many statues can be seen around ASUS (The statue on this display board is one of those). His only goal in life is to become just as great as his father was. Rinkutatakiarika and Zinachukwudi are foreigners to ASUS and not much is known about them. There past is a secret and even if they wanted to tell there tales they couldn't because they are both mute. They where are from a distant regiment that was nearly destroyed from another system and the imperium re-stationed them into the ASUS military forces.


And thats it for this update currently I am working on a chimera for them and then ill be working on some storm troopers. Ill keep updating for you guys so please let me know what you guys think.

Heh... I completely missed the fact that this thread is now 2 pages

The Commissars are looking cool, how did you do the male ones? Did you kitbash them with some 3rd party miniatures/parts? Or is it al GW bitz.



The camo suits on the veterans looks cool, but some of them look more like bushes with guns than guardsmen (might be the look you going for though)

Thanks nutty for the comment. Ya all the make commissars where kit bashed by 3rd party miniatures. There parts from mad Robot miniatures, and Hassle free miniatures.

As for the veterans I wanted them to look like modern day gully suits which when I was in the military most of our units gully mad people look alot like bushes out in the woods or moss on trees, or patches of grass when laying on the ground so I tried my best to replicate that effect.

Hay there everyone Its still been hectic around here due to job hunting but I have finally been able to finish my Chimera for my Veteran Squad. This Chimera is different from the rest of mine because since my veterans have gully suits I felt there ride had to be Camouflaged. Well Here we go with the pictures of the thing.

And there is Aqua Dart this was pretty fun project for anytime I get to work with the camoflauge is fun. Right now the next thing I am working on is a Storm Trooper *Cough* *Cough* I mean scion squad for my army. Then after the Ill be working on another Chimera that will be there ride if I ever take one for them. Well as always everyone tell me what you think and Have fun on your own projects.

The camo netting really helps link the chimera to it's squad.
