Well the idea for this is that after their last battle the Soul Drinkers fighting on Orkea have continued on with their mission to cleanse the world of xenos filth, or doing whatever it is that they are actually doing there (I guess Chemin knows, he is in charge of coming up with the motives and fluff reasons for their missions) and this has led them into our next scenario The Ambush. In which the Soul Drinkers get ambushed by two rival warbands of Orks.
The table setup is going to look like this.
- Each player has 2000 points
- This is a 1v1v1 battle, Orks are not on the same side
- The only way to score points is kill points
- Kill points are only scored by killing Ork units*. Killing Soul Drinkers is just for the fun of it.
- If a player gets tabled their points either drop to 0 (if they are playing Orks) or to whatever they have banked (if playing Soul Drinkers)
- Every Soul Drinker unit that leaves the map via an Ork table edge can roll 1D3 and bank that many kill points, but they can't bank more than the Soul Drinker player has scored at the time.
- Orks cannot deep strike, outflank, infiltrate or scout regardless of warlord traits, unit rules or any other ruling (with possible exception to psychic deep strike which I believe would require units already on the table).
- Soul Drinkers fall back towards the highest LD character who isn't falling back, or to the middle if they can't do the former.
*You only get the kill point if you destroy the unit directly by your actions, not if it dies in the blast from a vehicle, or the mob rule chart, or if it flees the table. Ork players can't get KP from accidentally killing their own units.
Deployment: Soul Drinkers deploy first. Orks take turns to deploy units.
Turn Order: Soul Drinkers take the first player turn each game turn. Ork players dice off each game turn for player turn two and three.
