Hi,,
just wondering about the definition of a successful hit with scatter dice.
1) If a scatter dice rolls a 'hit' symbol this is a hit. 2) If a scatter dice rolls scatter but the BS of the firer brings the scatter back to the original location - is this a 'hit'? 3) If a scatter dice rolls scatter and the blast still hurts enemy models is this a 'hit'?
ta,
tread

I think if you're looking at something that says "If the scatter dice rolls a hit', then it's the bullseye symbol they're referring to. What was the passage that prompted the question?

any version of a rule in which a miss allows a re-roll

A miss would be anything but the "Hit" symbol on the scatter dice.

Launch the dice at your opponent from an improvised shotgun. If you hear, "OW!" then you have scored a hit.

That response is everything that is different about the IGMB AM now. Tread is too familiar with my reflexes to want to use that method anyway. Then again I suppose it might bounce off my palm and score a 'hit' off his own nose.

You're supposed to escalate it somehow.

This is impossible.
It is a well known fact I remove my nose before rolling scatter dice.
It may be possible for the dice to become lodged in the mucas filled hole where my nose would be normally, In which case I could sneeze a hit with precision aero-kinetic snot blasts.

Luckily the rebel insect x-wings have never managed to score a hit on you. You're at your most vulnerable when you remove your nose.
"It's a trap!"

Removing your nose just means that it isn't attached to a moving target.
