So it seems Grukk Face Ripper is being rereleased soon, along with a reprint of the Ghazghkull supplement. Grukk rumours Bolter&ChainswordThis is soonish, probably within the next few weeks But what's got me interested is what is coming to your local toy store in November 2016..... Toy store Old model rumours Bolter&ChainswordSo it seems that some AoBR stuff (deffkoptaz, Sm dreadnought) and some older kits (Gorkamorka trukk, the SM landspeeder and SM bikes) are being released in a kind of budget format in coloured plastic. The terminators look like the older versions on 25mm bases, rather than the AoBR ones, it's confusing... The Gorka morka Trukk - I'd buy that for a dollar!

hmm not really excited about the ork releases, nothing overly interesting, I already have the ghaz book so will google any changes.
the build + paint kits are interesting and maybe the larger boxes are good value for people building up ork infantry etc, I bought up loads of AoB ork boys for my ork army before. The space marine bike for example is actually cheaper individually from GW so really your paying £2 for 3 paints and some glue.
The start collecting boxes are a lot more interesting, may get a couple of ork ones sometime.

It's a good chance to get AoBR again for those of us who missed out on something. The game is being remarketed for a younger age demographic, with simplified rules, like the Horus Heresy boxed set. Here's the video link, taken from page 5 of the B&C thread. And the link to GW's page. You can clearly see they're trying to target a younger audience, so these products might be in your local toystore, even maybe your local large supermarket, so its all good, especially if the Gorka trukk gets rereleased. Battle for Vedros, GW

the 'How to play' is sooo dull - they should have put a lot more scenery into the shot and had more camera movement to keep it interesting.
Watching it reminds me how painfully cumbersome the 40k games mechanic is, not sure if that was what they wanted from the clip.

I'm sure they were cheating at the point where the marines move, shoot, run and charge into combat, with a rapid fire weapon.
This means that you'll need to re-educate anyone who was taught to play using this system.
I'm sure you're only downplaying this release because you thought that you already had all the Deffkoptaz and that they would be discontinued never to be seen again. Only now they won't be discontinued and people will literally be forcing you to take all the Deffkoptaz, but you'll be like, 'I don't WANT ANY MORE DEFFKOPTAZ DAMNIT!'. But those trollish Deffkopter givers won't care, and they will continue to burden you with more & more deffkoptaz until even your legendary cool will be tested to the limits.

How many rokkit koptaz would you need to chip away a Stompa's HPs and still have enough left to claim objectives/ shoot at other units?

Yeah; is that similar to a chainfist in terms of game mechanics?
So the Grukk release & the reprint of the Ghazghkull supplement was only half the picture; it seems Farsight Tau supplement got reprinted, also with new formations, in the new style (i.e. core & auxiliary choices). I wonder what the new Ork formations are like?
In addition there'll be the new formation in the upcoming start collecting Orks box, which will contain 1 painboy, 11 boyz, a trukk and a deff dread for a quick nifty.

Against a Stompa full of meks it's just a bad idea. Fortifications like Tread's orky wall of martyrs/ juggernaught with the quad-linked Icarus lascannons are probably a better idea. Two of them would start taking a few hps off the Stompa, then the meks inside might repair it in their turn.
