Hello, Guard... err Astra Militarum Generals.
I've been working on this list for a while and I'm building the models as I go.
I've been playing Guard in 4th and 5th edition only.
I wanted to drop in and see if you had and guidance on how well this list would work in theory or if you had any suggestions for me.
Keep in mind I've never played a game in 7th edition and all these psychic shenanigans have me somewhat vexed (cue Culexus).
The general plan is to use the Executioner, Command Squad in Chimera and Plasma Squads in Chimera to be the Midfield Mobile contingent when needed.
The Vendettas with Special Weapons Squad and Platoon Command and the Culexus would be the Endfield aggressors (In your base killin' your dudes).
The rest of the army would be the Backfield fire base. Roughriders would either roll with the Midfielders as a mobile counter charge unit or stay in the Backfield to deny Deepstrike and be a counter charge unit.
Also, I've read over the rules a few times and I'm making a call here that Kurov's Aquila works in, out and into Chimeras. So I am assuming the Company Commander can extend Preferred enemy from inside his Chimera to other Chimeras and to units Embarked in other Chimeras. Does anyone have thought or experience with this?
