The picture quality leaves something to be desired, and they are not a 100% completed... But tanks got painted, and I'd say they are ready to blast some heretic and/or xenos scum off the table.

Thanks Tread,
Before I forget; your Blitzbrigade looks excellent. The darker colours are a bit different from what I'm used to from Orks, but look great.

Ok so a few days after the end of the month but I think we did ok?
I am finishing my Dunecrawler tonight as my paint FINALLY arrived, only a basic job but still better than naked plastic!
What are everyone's hobby challenges this month?
I intend to paint up another 500 points of Skitarii by the end of the month!
(And possibly improve what I have done already)

Ok so a few days after the end of the month but I think we did ok? I am finishing my Dunecrawler tonight as my paint FINALLY arrived, only a basic job but still better than naked plastic! As long as stuff gets painted right? What are everyone's hobby challenges this month? Infantry, lots and lots of infantry. I got ~130 or so guardsmen that are in various stages of completion... My goal is to have atleast half of them finished by the end of the month, but I'm kind of hoping I can get all of them done; since 40 of them are already painted and just need basing and a little clean-up after. I intend to paint up another 500 points of Skitarii by the end of the month! (And possibly improve what I have done already) Cool, any units in particular?

well done everyone - and big thanks to 3ff3ct for inspiring us!
i'm fairly happy with what occurred last month, am now working on the kill krusha with hopes to have something tabletop ready by end of may.
back to work now and having to pretty much scratch build the hull so i'll have to use my time wisely!

nutty I have built a unit of Skitarii Rangers this morning and have another Onager to go with. Getting them all done to a basic standard would be good, getting them a bit further would be great! I may add some pics in a separate thread of what I have already, and add in progress too as I am a lot more lax with my updates than I used to be! treadiculous I'm glad you feel motivated, I have to say knowing that I had gone over my time allowance did bug me, although the 'pressure' of getting stuff done did help!

I've started on my Rangers! Block colours are going in, and I'm prepping a batch of 'urban rubble' bases as they are taking a long time for me to build. Hopefully I can then just knock a few out and paint them up

I've been working on some new terrain for my purple board. I think other than some minor stuff and some fixes the terraced houses are ready for use. I might decide to upgrade the paint jobs later but I'll wait to see how they look in game photos. The apartment on the right needs to wait until I get some new spray paint. Too bad GW have ended their limited edition The Fang spray. That was a pretty good starting colour for this board.

I curse you all for making me try my hand at painting again. I second the motion. May you all be cursed.

So since phase one is complete (getting those terraced houses painted up) I picked up some of the stuff for phase two. Oi! Space marine, GER OFF MY SHIP!

Nice boat I probably won't complete my challenge, I got tired of infantry and bought myself a knight. I did however basecoat 50 regular infantrymen, a PCS, and 6 heavy weapons teams... So once I get in a washing/highlighting mood I'll be able to crank them out pretty quickly.

Apparently the boat is getting named the "Ahoy-hoy" and being painted a light blue with boat rust. I'm a little stumped on how to paint the docks though. They're for the blue board so the wood should be grey but what colours will work with the bricks and stone. The most obvious colours would be blue or a grey colour.

Im guessing the standard: black > codex grey > fortress grey (or whatever the greys are called now) would work. That would look a bit boring with grey wood though. I'd say changing the color of the wood would be a posibility, or go with darker stonework.
A lot of the older docks and waterworks (ie not concrete) here in the Netherlands are built from basalt, which is pretty dark. Not sure how that would mesh with a purple table though

A darkened brick red for the bricks, base with (whatever used to be dark flesh and highlight with badab black washes.

Playing a SoB vs AM battle yesterday and it's motivated me to get some more work done on my sisters. I'm actually pretty close to getting my May 14 goals for them finished.

I'll make a pledge. By the end of June I will have completed a squad of lamenters scouts, two captain (one in power armor, one in termi armor), a sanguinary priest, 12 death company, 8 space sharks termis, space shark commander and dreadnought, a landraider, space shark tactical squad, and the last 90 orcs for lotr. Unfortunately I don't get a choice on whether or not I get to finish these haha.

I pledge to complete my Imperial knight by the end of the month. Finals might slow me down, but it won't keep me from trying.

Whats going to be the name of the that boat..... The Ahoy-Hoy. If I make a pledge I'll just end up not doing it but I'm going to try and keep up with getting 3-5 Sororitas painted every 4-7 days, hopefully until I run out of the ones I've prepped and sprayed.

okay.. I've been slack after that major blitz I did.
I reckon now I have the rivets I can coontinue with the kill krusha and as a bonus the cardboard boxes the rivets cam in are enough to supply me with good boxes for the powerstation / pumphouse that will neatly finish the canal on the apoc board.
as a bonus I'll try and get the wooden blocks cut into hill shapes too.
as for a timeline I don't want to commit too much as the sun is out and I'm busy as hell with seasonal bookings + regular work

I was a little worried that the Exorcist kit went temporarily out of stock the other day. It is a hybrid metal kit and currently source for the Immolator and Exorcist, without fancy conversions. Anyhoot since it reappeared I decided to pick up about as many as I'll need for my Sororitas motor pool. As far as getting the sisters done, I've painted another two, including this heavy flamer: And I've got some work done on the next ten Seraphim.

That's a lot of armour!
I have been slacking on my Mechanicus as I hae started doing bases again, with new improved pressure casting set-up and airbrushed lovelyness! And I have the new Doom game, which I have nearly got all the acheivements on...
If I can get my 1st dunecrawler 100% finished, base included, that'd be great.
I'd also like to get the 2nd dunecrawler done to an acceptable tabletop standard.
Finish off my 10 man ranger squad too, as I can't wait to use the transuranic arquebus-es (arquebii?) on charlie's sodding tin men. They're so bloody tough!
