Well... you can never have to much armour and it's only a matter of time before GW actually goes ahead with discontinuing the sisters. Yesterday I knocked my knight of my desk... the damage wasnt to bad because the arms where magnetized and just popped off without breaking. But I seem to have lost a powerfist the size of a small ogryn..

Nutty you know you're going to find that power fist by sitting on it, right?

I've given up looking for it, it will probably turn up soon: lodged in my foot the next time I step out of bed, or something like that.

The power fist has returned! well most of it anyway, I'm still missing the armor plate that goes on top of it, but I'm sure it will surface sometime next week. Eventhough I had to focus on school stuff over hobby stuff, I made good progress on the knight so it's atleast tabletop quality (minus the base) So without further ado: The big top 'panel' is the only one that is done although might shade the light mettalic parts a bit more. The other panels still need a few coats to bring out the yellow and clean-up the shading on the yellow/white, but I'll do that after I've shaded the metals. I'm thinking of adding some black and white 'checkers' to some of the panels... but I'm worried it might make him look like a grimdark transformer that turns into a New York-taxi..

go with it, except call him IXAT, paint this onto him somewhere and have the it reflected in a puddle on the base.

That's a good list I'm currently doing commissions, so not much time for my own stuff If I can get a squad or two from Deathwatch Overkill done for Genecult that'd be dandy

I was watching Clone Wars and drinking some red wine and it seemed like a great time to paint some guard that I had previously put the foundation layers on. I got 7 lasgunners, a sgt, and 4 snipers done. It feels like it's been ages since I painted any guard to completion. I'll put up a pic when I purple 'flock' the bases.

That's pretty good going for an evenings work, you're machine! How big is your army now? It takes me entire evening just to paint thre Vostroyans.

Vostoyans are pretty detailed in comparison to Cadian plastics though.

How big is your army now? I think this photo is still accurate to most of my guard collection, should be more than 95% of the models in the picture. The guys in the front middle with the red barrels on their lasguns have some half painted models at the back, those are what I was working on. I'm pretty close to having a full platoon of them painted the way they should be painted. I really just need a liutanant and a couple more lascannon teams and I can deploy them as a matching fully painted blob. If I'm still working on guard today then I might do some work on my Kasrkin, who play the role of carapace vets in my army. edit: The more I look at this the more I think I need to double the amount of infantry I have.

Holy ball bags! That's a pretty sight, You've got a decent amount going on. Is that old school Storm troopers on the left side? I have those as my Storm troopers/Vets, They're a great stand out from the more up to date version. You have a good amount of Russes, about 8 Russes to my 2 I think I need to stop buying super heavies and buy normal tanks. Do you have any Forge World in there?

I don't think there are any Forge World models for my guard. Those are old school Storm Troopers and I need to get them all painted up to look like the soldiers from Full Metal Alchemist. There are some metal Storm Troopers hanging around there too, they need to go from being grey to looking like those soldiers that try and nuke Black Mesa in the first Half Life game. Collection is a nice size though, it has a lot of flexibility but it could do with more infantry for pure infantry games. Pictures as promised (the sergeant isn't there because his base is still unpainted sand but you guys probably know what a sergeant looks like ) (All four snipers can be seen in this first picture) (snipers without the other models there to make them easier to spot) Oh! Almost forgot the female trooper in the first pic is from the new Kromlech stuff with the heads and torsos. Because the torso juts out a little more for buxoumness I had to modify the arms to get them to fit, what with the rifle going over. Might not have been the cleanest green stuffing job but it turned out ok. Obviously this isn't a problem if you use those torsos with chainswords and pistols

I have two more citadel forests that just need washes and flock on the trees and base and highlights on the leaves (which are sprue). But I have to admit it is wicked depressing how much the current one sheds its leaves.

After playing Execution Force I got some work done on my Chaos Space Marines to help the forces of darkness look a bit better next time. I think I might order some dark Angel stuff and mix it into my next lot of CS-marines. A DS veteran squad, an upgrade pack and maybe some Death Wing Knights mixed with Chaos termie parts. Does Deathwing have any of that "why we would never and have never ever fallen to chaos" nonsense GW sometimes likes to tack onto people (like with Black Templars, Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle)?

nice work on the colour blending Agreed. The horns steal the show, which is a shame, because the green is rather nice too, but it took me a moment to notice. I assume they're non-denominational, rather than devoted to a specific God?

Yeah, my CSM aspirations in this age seem to forever be shifting away from papa Nurgle and more towards Chaos-whatever-works. The horns are a lot of fun, even without the flash photography, the highlights on the green are even less obvious under normal room light :/
