To be a mortal soldier in the 41st millennium a man must live a life of thankless service offering his life unto the glorious light of the Immortal God Emperor in holy combat.
He asks the Astartes for victory!
But of my men it is enough that Eldar blades loose my blood upon the ground.
...sigh, yeah. So getting to the point, I'm getting REALLY good at making the explodey noises when my tanks and APC's blow up.
...aaaand I'm okay with that, honestly. Good weekends, cold pepsi, rolling a lot of dice. This hobby is, pardon my french, le teeton's. I really enjoy checking out the paint jobs on other people's armies, addition's they've done to their model's since I've last caught up with them.
Guess what I'm saying is despite a losing a bunch of games I'm still really enjoying this game as a new player. gotten in a few 1,750 point games a few 1,500 I think I'll even get in a couple 1,000's. Just figuring out my list and I'm not interested in making it competitive. Maybe challenging... idk, it's not really a priority of mine to win a game. I think I'd be happy crafting a trench set.... and lets not forget the painting & customization aspect of this hobby. It's safe to say the vast majority of us here on the IGBM can relate to that simple statement, still should it have gone unsaid? surely not! Credit is due good sir's!
Now of course you're going to run into THAT nerd. Most of them are cool, sure but you know who I am talking about. I've been a nerd through other nerdular hobbies and let's face it. Those guys are out there!
But what are you going to do? Hope the Commissar will put a bolt through his skull for throwing a man baby fit? ...wait a minute...
