Lost Patrol. Can anyone review it ?

The stand alone game "Lost Patrol" is due to be re-released with some slightly updated rules.
I wasn't into 40K when it first came out so can anyone recommend it ?
Like, can it get a bit "samey" after just a few games ?
And how does it compare to Space Hulk or that Assassin game ?

Not about how good the game actually is at least.
