aye, the 25lbrs do ding the tiger occassionally, though its not guaranteed, and best result is the crew bail out.. and they are happy to jump back in all too soon!

I still live, and I still paint! I vowed to finish 100pts by Jan 1st and a British army by the end of February in the Today thread, so I cheated and did both at once. That's 100pts of Churchills, Wolverines, Shermans (Fireflies and regular), Sextons, Bren Carriers, Stuarts, and infantry. I'm currently working on two divisions, the Polish 1st Armoured and what will end up being either the Canadian 3rd or the British 50th. The Poles just need six bren carriers and two infantry platoons painted before they're done, so I hope to have everything for them finished by the end of the month.

Cool!
It’s important to keep up promises with yourself!
The tanks look good too.

That army is inspirational. Good luck with the next batch.
Just saw some of those scenic trees in my local art shop. They bring back memories - I have a wood with three bigger ones more for 40k scale.

Ah how I miss FoW though mine was more infantry than tanks. Looking great, you get any games in yet?

I really love those churchills, honestly just as much as I loved the cute little Stuarts. If I keep on track I should wrap up the full Churchill company tomorrow. I'll try to post pictures this weekend. Ah how I miss FoW though mine was more infantry than tanks. Looking great, you get any games in yet? A few, I'm still pretty green and I need to unlearn some bad 40k habits. What was the last edition you played?

The lighting isn't as good at my current place as it was at my old one, so I promise these look better in person. I also apologize for the hobby grass all over the table, I sneezed when the container was nearby and open. Churchills. I don't have the proper decals for them yet. The three tanks I did this afternoon for my Americans All my Poles

That's great I love the legion of churchills. And of course, the Stuart is so damn cute. Are those Sextons in the background? I admit I'm not really a stickler for details when it comes to ww2 gear.

Thanks! And good eye, they are. I had to get a third party kit for those and trust that they would be in the new british book, since I'm trying to stay true to the gear the Poles used. On the right in the back you can also see some recce cromwells hiding behind the M10s.

I ran a british infantry company with a spare platoon, a mortar section, machine gun section, some 25 pdrs, some 6 pdrs, and a few sherman/fireflies using the market garden book. It was all meant to represent the welsh guard but they only saw the field a handful of times against both russian and german heavy tank lists. We usually faught to draws since neither one was particularly good at killing the other haha

No more progress on the Sisters, but I did churn out another 100pt army. This time it's for Team Yankee, the cold war version of Flames of War.

What points scale does FW:Team Yankee use? It looks as though a 100pts is a decent army.
(Also, I'm digging the snakes on the helicopters. Are they freehand?)

What points scale does FW:Team Yankee use? It looks as though a 100pts is a decent army. (Also, I'm digging the snakes on the helicopters. Are they freehand?) 100-120pts is a normal game under the current editions of Team Yankee and Flames. Team Yankee's scale is a bit odd since main battle tanks usually cost the bulk of your points, while support units are cheap. High end MBTs can be wildly expensive, with two Challengers costing 22pts. On the flip side of that, I can get 10 T-62Ms as Russians for 18pts, because the tanks are worse and their various crew stats are worse (and because I'll probably lose 7-8 of those tanks before I can line up a flank shot on the Challies). To give you some idea of the percentages, - 56% of the list is tanks - 11% is anti-air (VADS and Redeyes) - 11% is line infantry and APCs The rest is various types of fire support. Compare and contrast this to my Russian list, where 54% of the list is tanks, but I have 30 instead of 12 and I can field an entire company of russian infantryin BMP-1s without cresting 80pts The snakes are decals, I wish I could do freehand like that.
