You should change the thread title to RedsandRoyals has too many cuts on his hands.

I really should.
Last night I went on a building spree. 5 Thunderwolves, 1 Thunderwolf Lord, 10 Blood Claws, 10 Grey Hunters, 2 Rune Priests, a Wolf Guard Battle Leader, and a random Ultramarines deathwatch captain from spare bits. Pictures tonight, probably.

I apologize for the quality of these, but it's dark out when I get home so good pictures with good lighting has to wait until the weekend. First, the Wolf Lord, who I cannot take an in focus picture of to save my life. This one's worth some commentary, because it illustrates my main complaints with the Thunderwolf box. First, and most glaringly, the constituent parts of the wolves don't fit together very well. I may have to buy some green stuff to patch them, but it's pretty glaring. Second, the Wolf Lord isn't actually riding his wolf because the kit doesn't do a very good job of providing arms that look like they're, you know, holding on to the giant wild animal he's riding (although they do provide hands for it). I said "screw it" and posed him beside the wolf. If anyone asks he just holds onto it's tail and lets it drag him to battle. I did actually make note that the crossbar of the banner pole is about where his head would be if he was mounted, so if there are complaints about "cheating true line of sight", I'll just say if you can see that crossbar, you can see him. Next, a Runepriest. The back of the torso is from the GK box to get that psychic hood (which I just realized you can't see because of the angle) I'm kind of proud of the stave, too. Here are the wolf guard and the second rune priest. Nothing special here really. Lastly, an Ultramarines DW captain I bashed together from seven kits, just because I had the parts. And here's a bonus picture of my wound, with about a day's worth of healing.

Popped down to the nearest hobby store today (the one I worked at years ago is actually only two blocks away from the office, go figure) and picked up the last box of Wolves.
That'll bring me up to 50 space wolves and 5 vehicles when that last stupid box of long fangs finally arrive.
I'll probably get back to painting this week, too. The Blood Angels are calling to me.

I managed to cut my finger open on an eldar sword today...
I feel 'Redsand Royals has too much BLOOD on his hands' would be a good thread title

This time in particular it was a cabbage slicer. That was about over a month ago now. Of course it was on my dominate hand so made painting hard but I powered through haha.

That only supports my theory that trying to eat healthy will only kill you.
By the way, since you're our resident "Man on the inside", when are plastic Sisters coming? That's going to be the bulk of this thread next year.

Plastic sisters have no rumor even on our end. They switched all of them to basically a "cast to order" deal but it's the same models and prices. The limited edition cannoness that sold out in two minutes will be available again soon as they weren't expecting it to be that popular (for some reason). We were told that the amount they make will depend on public demand and advised that if you would like one, to go on the website and hit the "email me" button. It will let you know when it's available again and help increase the number produced.

Thanks for the info! There have been teasers about them from the vast internets (and the warhammer community vid where they showed off Magnus), and most have been pointing toward Jan. The fact that they wildly underestimated the canoness' popularity and just republished the old codex in the Agents of the Imperium book doesn't give me hope. Neither does seeing the terrible old models go up for sale in Resin for stupidly high prices. I think the reason there's no demand is old models and the fact that a single squad costs like $80, not because people don't want them.
I mean, ever since the first rumors hit this year, I've been putting aside a little bit of cash from each paycheck, and now have ~$1k Ican drop on Sisters if they do a proper release for them. I'm prepared to make Sisters financially viable for GW even if I have to do it by myself...

I really am not sure why GW isn't doing them. People have been calling for them for years so the demand is there. The fact that even at that outrageous price, people do still have armies of them should prove that at a reduced price (read: normal price) and new models they would sell like crazy, at least initially.

Yeah. I think Genestealer cults is a good example. I can't imagine there was a huge demand (Since ht army was totally unsupported in any format for so long, and at least Sisters had rules), but they were a pretty big hit from what I hear.
On another topic entirely!
I've amassed a surprising amount of bits and pieces fromv various Space Marine kits, despite my attempts to clean out and give away what I can. If anyone is after anything for their marines, feel free to PM me and I'll have a rummage. It's obviously easiest for me to send stuff to other IGMBers on the east coast of the US, but I can ship stuff overseas too. It's not like it would be a big package, and I get a stupidly good Fedex discount at work.
Anyway, I've got bits for Marines, Space Wolves, and Blood Angels (mostly terminator stuff), a sprinkling of GK things, and some Deathwatch shoulder pads and power swords. I've also got some DA, BT, and Ultramarine bits laying around, mostly shoulder pads (and, like, a million shoulder pads with the Crux Terminatus on them).
If you're looking for something, give me a shout.

Genestealers sold ok at our store, the death watch was what sold in droves.
On the other note, what ultramarine bits do you have? Im trying to avoid forgeworld as much as possible for my 30k. What area or the east coast are you on?

Yeah, Deathwatch was gangbusters, which is funny considering the release was just a vehicle, an upgrade sprue, a single HQ, and a vet squad. Everything else was just reboxings.
I don't have too much in the way of Ultras. I have a single champion/officer/Vet Sgt, plus some stuff from the normal upgrade sprue they sell through the GW store, as well as the Ultra shoulderpads from the Captain sprue (along with that waist accessory made of the leather strips, whatever it's called). There's also that DW captain up there with the shield and hammer, he's got an Ultramarine shoulderpad. Some of it may need some cleaning, but should be useable.
I'm in northern VA, right next to Washington D.C.

I'm in the Great Falls area, if you know where that is, and work in Falls Church.
Did you ever swing by any Falls Church hobby stores? I worked at one and hung out at another for ages.
