So they're doing separate cuts of the BaC minis? Gotta say the Mk V set, especially the missile launcher, takes me back to high school and the RTB01 days. But with better sculpts...

Okay. The Betrayal at Calth game is $150. It contains 3 squads of those Mk IV marines ($150), the Marine heroes ($50), the Dread ($65) and the terminators ($65), for a total of $330 in minis, not counting the other stuff.
Either someone didn't think this out, they're hoping to go generate a lot off of single purchases, or the betrayal at calth boxed set is going to be discontinued soon.

It is usually like that: buying the 4 assassins seperately will cost you more than buying the game (which come wit free heretic scum) So B@C will probably by around for a while, everyone that one some extra marines/dreads/termi's for their 30k force will either have to buy a secon B@C box.. or pay a premium to only get the unit they want. |

I just realized part of it is that it's all for one army, too. Most of the other boxed mini-games (to use the term very loosely) split their contents between two factions, making it sort of less of a deal.

Well, remember though, at that point of the Heresy, most of the traitor Marines weren't all spikey yet like their 40K counterparts, so creating different Heresy-era factions largely consists of applying the appropriate Legion paint job to the minis. |
