Figured I'd share this here for those that do not really follow all the rumor threads/blogs/etc. natfka.blogspot.nl/2016/12/seen-pics-of-plastic-sisters.html?m=1#moreFancy pictures of some seriously cool nuns with guns. And: a new campaign called "the Fall of Cadia" which is suposed to go on pre-order on Januari 7th. Now many many Cadians will ofcourse die... but we might get some new and updated rules out of it. So their deaths will not be for nothing.

We'll see if Cadia actually falls, but I'm going to allow myself a bit of an "I Told You So". I have a sneaking suspicion Cadia might bite it, since it's still under a full court press by Chaos and they need to neutralize it before they can really launch a campaign at Terra.

Maybe Cadia is going to do a Titan, and it will just appear to die and then trololol back into existence when the forces of Chaos are trying to retreat again.

Maybe they are talking about the season.. and it's really about beating up Heretics whilst there's a bunch of different coloured leaves blowing about.
After all, Cadia is well known for the beautifull colours of it's foilage during that time of year.

Bwahaha! The foliage of Cadia. I like it. My guess is Cadia bites it. That allows Chaos out. We see bad guy Primarchs show up again. Followed shortly by good guy Primarchs. Then eight edition officially provides rules that help tie in 30k. Also, I predict a new line of guard models, especially if Cadia bites it.

Given they've been churning out new stuff like crazy this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see some new Guard troops, but Cadians will still live on. Remember that there are a lot of worlds in the area that the Cadians assume responsibility for, so wiping out the Cadian shock troops is harder than wiping out the actual planet. I think it will be crippled and bypassed, since Chaos operates on the strategic "Toothpaste" principle. Once they're out, it's hard to put them back. There's still a decent chance of it falling or being blown up, though.
Next primarch is rumored to be the Lion, which I can see making sense in the context of a Cadian-centric campaign. That area is one of the Rock's stomping grounds. Allegedly, Celestine is pairing up with the Black Templars too. If BT get some snazzy new units or formations, I'll be picking up some to act as a meat shield for my sisters...

Would be nice of the BT got something nice too; them being the red-haired stepchild of Codex: Space Marine. It would also mean half my arguments for starting a Black Templar army will disappear overnight. But we will see.. I might actually have a power army for once

Well normal Cadians are being repackaged for the Genestealer Cult but I'd hate to see the end of the actual kits, especially the command squad.
Also because this is your first post you must take this pointy stick and use it on those Slaanesh cultists over there. Not like that! Yes, that's much better.

There is little to no chance of the Cadian kits being discontinued. If it turns out they are, I will bake a cake, write that on the top in frosting, and literally eat my words. As I mentioned above, GW has set it up so they could vaporize Cadia and still have a reason for Cadian-style guardsmen to continue to exist. I don't think there's much chance of a re-release of the kits, either, since they're still quite serviceable, especially the command squads and other "new" ones.

A recut would be good; the mould lines are getting ridiculous on those new GC reboxes.
If they get recuts and it includes a heavy weapon on the sprue, maybe not all but a useful one like the autocannon, then it might be worth the £25 price tag. That seems to be the new standard for infantry kits - the neophyte hybrid miners are £25 for 10 and the skitarii are around the same price.
Catachans need that recut more; the kits are so dated it's unreal and there are 2 different sizes - currently good for matching Chaos Marauders with old Cata bits but the kit is too old. It's from the 3rd edition era.. It would be great if they did Catachans as a mixed regiment with female models on the sprue. Eldar guardians and Dark Eldar have that and it would be a good way of shifting more Catachan kits.

I'll have to check those out when I get home. Do you have a copy at your store already? That's kind of impressive.
Without asking for spoilers or anything, are the formations/relics for Sisters that are supposed to be in there worthwhile? Same question in regards to BT.
I'm sort of leery about getting a book that may be either irrelevant in six months, or will be folded into either a codex or some sort of collection later (such as the Tzeentch rules and Traitor Legions, or all the BA stuff getting rolled into a cheaper book), but I could be talked into it if there's worthwhile stuff for Sisters or BT.

We don't have a copy or anything. That was just our newsletter. The only other things that were in there about that was better pictures of the leaked models, who they are and what they are armed with.

Ah, I see that now. Couldn't view them at work for some reason. Appreciate it, though.
Keep us posted. If it makes BT worth it, I'd consider a few squads to pair with my TTG 2 sisters.

I'm sure that the Cadians will tag team up and bro-fist with the Necrons to beat back Chaos. The partnership will be sanctified by the Grey Knights baptising the combined forces with the blood of an entire Convent's worth of Battle Sisters...

Cadia is lost, long live Cadia!
So, umm, wow. That's a spicy meatball major development in the 40K universe. Suppose we'll be seeing the failure of the Golden Throne by the end of 2017, the destruction of the Imperium, and then "Age of 40K" next year?

This will be after the Imperiuim is reduced to 0 Black Templars. This isn't possible, mathematically. There will always be Grimaldus under a large pile of bodies.

So we have this now: LeaksThe IG/AM is part of two elements of the book: Tempestus platoons are a part of the crusade formation the Templars have been lobbying for, which does not strike me as all that interesting. You need Greyfax, Celestine, a BT 'demi-company' (with a tempestus platoon instead of Devastators) and than you get to have crusader on everything, and zaelot if you maxed out the units. The major part is the "Castellans of the Imperium" FoC though, the majority of the Imperial factions is in there and you can mix and match units to fill out your FoC. Everything gets the 'Hatred' USR, and destroyed troop choices are returned to ongoing reserves on a 5+. It looks to me as if they are getting dangerously close to a 40k end-timey sort of thing...

Details on the characters and what they do. www.belloflostsouls.net/2017/01/fall-cadia-imperial-characters-rules.html Celestine looks completely bananas, and absurdly hard to kill, with four ablative wounds on her 3+/4++ seraphim buddies, plus her own five wounds and Eternal Warrior. And that's before the whole resurrection thing. I'm absolutely going to run her with my marines, probably my Blood Angels. Edit: And Cawl looks hilarious for tank armies.
