Howdy folks! Recently been looking at my Vic lamb/ Cadian mash ups... and I'm not impressed. They look nice, but.. They are not praetorian Guardsmen... Recently I've also developed an appreciation for what Tanks have done in warfare in recent decades, particularly the achievements of Rommel. And it's got me thinking about pith helmeted, tankies of mass destruction and tear shedding. Yes. I want to be a not very nice person.. If anyone could point me in a direction that this is possible, either through IA or expansions, it would be very much appreciated Dave

I'll need to double check, but yes, I think there's a detachment for tanks. I need to look which supplement it is, though. I know there's one for Space Marines that's all tanks, but that's not quite the same.

You want to run all tanks? IA: volume 1 has a list for that, Leman Russ tanks in just about every slot. It is a bit outdated though, so the tanks are a bit more over costed. Or you can use the Cadian formstions/battlegroup detachment, that'll let you fill up on Tanks that use the current rules. You can tack 5-12 on to any army, or run a detachment based around 5 tanks. Or I misunderstood the question, in which case: why don't you want to run all tanks?

The price mate... Haha. Thanks for the input guys, I just find the idea of a tank battalion very appealing at the minute, and between the collection of Pith helmeted heads I have, and Ebay, I'm quite confident I could achieve this pretty easily now, and get them looking good after pay days paint splash out. Might just start off with a Tank commander and his retinue. I know Major has done well on ebay recently, and there's a shop nearby that sells Detol very cheap

Ebay tanks are a great solution and russes are a lot easier to clean than guardsmen. I have 10 tanks in my company, 7 of them are bought cheaply off of ebay. Between bits sites and 3 new kits I have all the guns I nees to run different variants.

Thread necromancy:
You can now run all tanks by taking a Spearhead detachment. If you want more command points, run multiple miniamlist spearhead detachments. Pask in 1 of them, for sure, and then run a few more with minamlist HQ tanks to save points. All tank army! Yay Leman Russ
