Well this is turning out to be complicated -
There are other options, but if you are considering Imgur then you might be interested to know that at least one Imgur user claimed, “Direct Imgur file links now hijack your browser with custom scripts that track you while doubling the load time. Even worse, it defeats its own purpose by shrinking images to half the size.”

If you want to pay the Photobucket ransom but don't want to pay the £309 they want for Plus 400 then you could see if Plus 20 is still available, it's the one I bought and I think it was £20 a year for 20GB storage and still includes 3rd party linking. That said, they might have shuffled it into retirement in order to try this Plus 400 hustle and just not switched the ToS on people who have paid for the year so maybe I'll just get PB woes when my subscription needs renewal. Just read this- If you were a Plus Account subscriber in good standing as of June 1, 2017,
you will continue to have all the privileges you have enjoyed including 3rd
Party Hosting until December 31, 2018 as long as you maintain your
subscription. |

Smugmug was mentioned as a lower cost alternative, since I'm not sure what free options are left. I'm hoping PB will get arm twisted into rolling back the price change, or making it an upgrade just for the pro. |

wow.
haven't been able to log in to photobucket for ages now anyway... think the last thing I posted was a re-direct link to the apoc game montage file thingy.
have really hated the progessivly user in-friendliness of it, however it still provided a free service which was very handy for this board.
anyone have a server we can set something up on?
