It really is! Always wanted one.
Sadly I think my Forgeworld days are over.
With 3 kids this time of year is expensive!
Luckily I can live vicariously through you guys and enjoy your updates!

I completely understand where you're coming from, my parents had the same balance between hobby and 3 kids. Haha well I'll start with the basic pictures this evening, to show you whats in the kit and the thoughts/Ideas I have moving forward.

FINALLY! The Gorgon. This kit has been the hardest thing so far that I've built from ForgeWorld, the Cab section had to be shaved, heated up and bent back into shape, the floor was bent out of shape and I will have to green stuff some areas that need it. I'm starting to enjoy the kit now that the Cab section has been completed. To start with I Painted and built the inside cab and the area below that leads to the rear ramp, I've also magnatized the rear ramp. I then decided that I would Magnatize the heavy stubbors up top also. I also Magnatized the side weapons too because I wanted to be able to use both options. Ive only bult the rear Cab and gun sections so far, this weekend I will add the left hand side and begin sanding down Green stuff and making sure everything is aligned correctly. I hope to update you some more next week.

Agreed.
It looks like it’d be a swine to build, that said it’s coming together nicely!
Any chance of a size comparison pic with it next to a Leman Russ?

Man, everytime I open up your thread my wallet starts hurting. There is a GW 10 minutes down the road that sells forgeworld and youre making it increasingly hard to resist. Stop it. Stop painting these awesomely expensive models so damn well so I can resist.

Thank you gents, you're really keeping me motivated on this project.
I had saved and put Money aside for this beast over a year ago, in the hope that they would re-produce the Gorgon, so I'm not splashing the cash trust me.
This kit doesn't build easy, I've spent more time with the Hair dryer just straightening and tweaking parts than I have building. The Magnets took a good amount of time to align correctly, as you really don't want to mess it up.
This weekend, I've primered some parts and I'm finally ready for some paint!
@jud: Yea sure, I'll do a comparison with a range of tanks for you guys to see.

UPDATE! Taking a small break from the Sisters to work on the beast. I'm just going to get the moaning out the way now. This FW kit is the worst I have ever built, Nothing fits, not even close. It's all bent out of shape, doesn't quite fit here and there. Just checking, checking everything 3-4 times just keep checking. The kit looks really good now that it's mostly built and it's becoming a joy to paint. The front ramp is dry fit along with the crew. The best thing I ever did was magnitizing the ramp doors and the weapon options, really smooth open and close and the side sponsons stay on just fine. WIP Side Sponsons: The different options will be magnatized (I'll share the options in the final pictures) Over all at the moment I'm happy and this week I shall battle on with the Gorgon.

Glad to see this coming together.
It’s such a beautiful model, just a shame it’s been such a nightmare to build.
The crew look great in there, I reckon.
I think it’s gonna be amazing when finished! Once you’ve done the weathering and all.
Keep it up, you’ve got through the hardest bit!!!

Cheers Jud, I've moved down stairs to the dining table for a different sceene and motivation, so far it's worked well so I hope to complete the tank at the weekend.
When she's completed she will look glorious, I plan to load this up with Ogryns and Yarrick, to then charge straight through for the front line.
I'm going to work on the heavy stubbers and the beams that go over the top of the gunners, then I'll complete the ramp and weathering, before magnatizing the side sponsons.
JUST DO IT!!

That thing is starting to take shape! how many bullgryns will you be able to fit in there? It can transport upto 50 Troops, so it would be 16 Bullgryns and 1 Yarrick. Back 2007 I had a game against my mates Tau, 40 Kroot vs 5 Ogryns and Yarrick in close combat.... it was amazing!

That'd even leave room for a priest 16 ogryns barreling out of a gorgon would make for a pretty glorious sight.

You know if the gorgon ramp goes down, things are about to get very messy. I don't like the GW Bullgryns/Ogryns, they look too Cartoony for me, I've found the below but I think they're a little over priced? What do you think? mortian.shop/product/bundle-3x-heavy-ogres/

Pricey, yes.
But they look flipping awesome!
If I was still working on the Death Korps I’d be all over those.
Sounds like you’ll be bringing the pain!

Hello! It's been a while, been busy whilst on furlough completeing major projects on the house but I have some great updates for you. The Gorgon is complete with all weapons painted up. With the Gorgon completed I required someone special to lead the charge, so I stripped and re-painted Yarrick. Who's going to sheild Yarrick from the riff raff? Only his personal Body Guards, I would get too close to them. Oh and if anyone wants the spare heads let me know and I can post them out. I have three for each of the below factions. Tallarn DKoK Valhallan Cadian

Wow! You have been busy!
The Gorgon is really imposing, does it still transport 50?
The Bullgryns are looking solid too. They’ll do some serious crumping!
