Hi there.
As an old (like I still got most of the original boxes) Battletech gamer I´ve been looking at Hairbrained games new adaptation of Battletach, and like what I see. So much that I´ve started ponding over if it is possible to transfer ideas into a sub-game of WH40k.
And looking at my Sentinels I really think it would be a fun way to play small games of Sentinel warfare. So I pitch it up in this Think-tank forum for ideas, input and general comments. This is what I have thought about.
1: Start with Sentinels because they are the smallest of "Walkers" in the universe. It´s easier to expand upwards. 2: Use M stat as some kind of movement Points (used for movement and firing guns?) 3: Divide the sentiel into hit areas and divide hit points or armor Points to each area. Don´t use both as it is just to much book keeping. 4: create ammo system for the weapons. (Perhaps the Lascannon only gets 5 shots as it has so high S et cetera...) 5: Create a system for the pilots to make them individuals. 6: Make battlesheets. 7: Play test and revise....
So my friends, shoot away.
