I'll admit it, I'm prone to all sorts of silly things. I like doing the wierd, the whackey, and the outright bizzare. So this thought occured to me: Multiple mortars in a squad (such as a Heavy Weapon: Mortar squad) form a Battery. But, since they fight as seperate elements, a Heavy Weapon Platoon can't form one massive battery of up to 10 tubes.
But Schaeffer's Last Chancers can.
For the low, low price of 480 points, you can get Schaeffer, Kage, and a ten-tube mortar squad. That Infiltrates! As an added bonus, Schaeffer and Kage can be deployed as one-man subunits. Since they're a member of a sub-unit which has not been wiped out, they're scoring units!
