That's arguably the best method for a regular squad, especially of 4 or more. That'll let you put weapons with poor AP on the brute shields, and the high AP ones on the slab shield. If you're running them around Celestine or with a source of an invulnerable save aura, the Slab Shield is actually your best option, since it pushes your Ogryn to 2+/4++.

Thanks for the tip I just have 3 atm and my idea was to use them as screen for my tanks. I play a freind with dark eldar and she likes to locks my tanks in Close combat. So i thought some big meat shields were a good idea. Any sugestions och tips on how best to use them for this end?

I'm going to answer your question in the least helpful way; You don't want to use Ogryn for that, at least not in this case.
To unpack that a bit, you're facing a very agile enemy (I assume you're dealing with wyches in raiders or venoms, or reavers?) who's primary transport is a skimmer. They can jump around your tanks to attack uncovered sides more easily. That means you need to cover a larger area, preferably in a way that screens the sides and front of the tank. In this instance, the task is better accomplished by lots of bodies backed up by a commissar. Take 3-4 squads, give them flamers, and wrap them around the tanks. If memory serves Vossies let you shoot while in melee, and Valhallans let you shoot into melee, both of which makes engaging your tar pits an unattractive option.
The obvious downside there is cost in terms of $. If you want to just use the Ogryn, sit your tanks as far back as possible (ideally with terrain on either side full of infantry), spread the Ogryn out as far from one another as possible in front of them, and make sure there's just a bit less than two inches of space between the Ogryn and the tanks (since then your opponent won't be able to put models in between them and still have the necessary space).
