So when I started my Guard Army I was all about holding the line, and I still have a pretty sizable line army but like many a Guard player, I fell in love with the armored companies of the Astra Militarum. Some salamander kit bashes I've haxored from the basilisk kits. Back of a kit bash I've hacked down to more Leman Russ standards. Figured I'd break out all the Russ tanks for this photo shoot. All of them.... This was an Abrams kit bash I started haxoring into Malcador chassis specifications but as you can see it's a work in progress, I've got side sponsons from a lemans Russ kit I'm going to mount on here. Yeah, I started to get into the kit and it was just toooooo.... recognizable, for lack of a better description. I'm thinking of building the paper kitbash first just so I have the scale in perspective a little better before I commit any more to this thing.

Interesting project, I'm not sure how forgiving the plastic on that Abrams is to work with.. but testfitting using cardboard is always a good idea. Otherwise you might end up cutting up panels/parts only to find out that it won't come together as planned. Paper ought work for measurements, but because it is bound to be much thinner than plastic, it can be tricky to see how the actual thing will come together.

If it fails it's going to become a terrain piece, c'est la vie.
