Hey
I recently came into a bunch of Vostroyans, and I'm trying to make a list out of them. I added Catachan for artillery help, and a deathwatch team for some chopiness
Anyway, I have 76 points left over and I don't know what to spend them on. A centaur for one 9f the Command Squads? A Chimera (with sone point adjustments) a rhino for the deathwatch? Or something else entirely?
Any and all advice is appreciated!
So list is now
Vostroyan Battalion
-Company Commander Plasma Pistol, Power Maul and Armour of Graf Toschenko
-Company Commander Plasma Pistol and Chainsword
-Command Squad 4 plasma guns
-Command Squad 3 plasma guns and a heavy flamer
-Infantry Squad 1 Heavy bolter, Grenade Launcher, Bolt Gun on Sergeant
-Infantry Squad 2 Heavy bolter, grenade Launcher, Bolt Gun on Sergeant
-Infantry Squad 3 Basic
-Heavy Weapon Squad 3 Lascannon Teams -Heavy Weapon Squad
3 Heavy Bolter Teams
Catachan Spearhead
-Tank Commander Executioner with heavy bolter
-Sergeant Harker As is
-Quad Gun Battery 2 thudd guns
-Quad Gun Battery 2 Thudd guns
-Wyvern Heavy Bolter
Deathwatch Patrol
-Chaplain With power fist
-Deathwatch Veterans All with storm Bolters and Chainswords
Thanks for reading!

First of all, welcome to the IGMB!
Now for additions to the list; an extra vehicle hull would not be a bad thing. If you load a transport with a squad special weapon dudes and race it towards the enemy... you have a nice little distraction for his anti-armour weapons. Otherwise they can all focus on your lone Leman Russ, as it'll be the only vehicle in sight. A chimera kan take quite the beating in this role, but a centaur might do the trick as well.
If your opponents tend to have a lot of deepstriking units you could also consider a cheap unit to either fill gaps in your lines, or to move into no man's land. So that you can prevent his units from landing in an ideal position. I like to use scout sentinels for this myself (to block no man's land) but I recently got a unit of ratlings and I'm going to try them in some upcoming matches to see if they can keep shooting whilst helping to prevent units from deepstriking into my lines.
Good luck with the Vostroyans, and do post some pictures when they are all painted up: they always make for a great looking army.

Thanks for the reply!
I think I will definitely add another vehicle, if only so my Leman Russ is not out there by its lonesome. Whether its a Chimera so all my plasma and a commander can jump in, or a centaur with one squad and commander I'm not sure yet. If I run the centaur, I may add a Vanguard Veteran to my Deathwatch to make them more flexible.
I'll definitely post up pics of the Vostroyans once I get some paint on them. They are. Great looking models without doubt
