I was able to hammer most of the Wraiths, but I missed one (despite massive amounts of shooting) and kinda forgot the Scarabs. Which left them to basically mop up my Thudd guns.
On the left, with the wyvern and Deathwatch, I was able to easily kill the Wraiths and the 10 man squad.
I then hammered one 20 man squad and reduced it to 1 warrior. But for the lid of me I couldn't finish it off. I used everything. I think that was a turning point.
Eventually I was able to kill that 20 man squad, but took longer and cost me lots.
In the end he was down to 1 warrior squad, the overlord and 2 Cryptecs, all of which were around my command tank. He veil of Darkness'Ed them to engage my HWS, which allowed my Chaplain and platoon commander to finish them off.
Them mopped up the Scarabs
I managed to engage his Overlord with my Chaplain and Warlord, but failed to kill him and was crushes in return.
I really struggle against this necron list. I can't beat it. I know straight up killing plays to his advantages, but I also think I'd struggle in an objectives game.
I thought I commented on this already, but I guess I forgot to post it.
The pictures look good, and the report sounds interesting. But I find it a bit difficult to figure out what is going on. So I agree with RT: a bit of formating, and putting the text next to the corresponding pictures would help.
Necrons are a pain in the rear to deal with, especially when it comes to using CP for regenerating models and some nasty business with destroyers. I've only played them in 8th in smaller point games (750) and there are units at those point values that just seem flat out unkillable because you can not kill them in a turn.
