Hi there.
I´m contemplenting a new hobby Project. I´ve actually managed to get a few games in the last year and discovered that I need something to deal with Titanic opponents. And having a model that can manage to handle Flyers would be nice too. So I decided to make a small "detachment" built around a Shadowsword. I decided on a few rules for myself.
1: This is a hobby Project, screw the rules and focus on having fun, and my love for modeling and painting. But each model should be made so it can be gamed with.
2: The "detachment" should have a strong feeling of "beliviability".
3: They will be modeled and painted in such a way that it easy to see they belong together.
4: No infantry: If they are needed they will be drafted from my quite large Infantry force.
My vision is that of a Shadowsword operating on a large battlefield ready to engage the enemie Titans. The other vehicles are part of the supporting force for the Shadowsword and are ready to defend it with their lives if necessary. They have already fought together for a while and are battlemarked but still in fighting condition.
Shadowsword "Fury of Doltmine". It will be the cornerstone of the force.
3 Scout Sentinels: Their role in the "detachment" is to scout ahead and search for target and enemies. At least one of them will have to get some kind of radar dish and extended comm-arrays. I am considering having them armed with Multilasers, but I already have 3 ML armed scouts so I am not sure. They will probably be the last models to be built and painted.
3 Armoured Sentinels: Their role is Close support of the Shadowsword. At least one of them will get a Missilelauncher, mainly because I love how they look.
1 Hydra: It´s role is to take care of flyers getting to Close to "Fury of Doltmine".
So anyone out there have any thoughts?
