Cool basilisk! I have around 50 scion bodies laying around I'd be willing to part with. They're not in the best of shape but I'd be happy to send you some pics. Thank you! That would be brilliant nutty. I won't nab them all. Maybe about 20. It doesn't matter if they've lost their antennas or torches as I chop them off anyway. Though I'd need ones with the 2 lower plates still attached. What would you want for them? And where are you based. I'm a UK person myself.

Right so it's nearly the end of April so here is my addition for the month. The objective was at least 1 Elite or HQ choice. I had just enough bits to make a command squad to accompany my officer. If they weren't an elite choice things would have almost been impossible with everything as it is at the moment. I have also painted up a priest that has been sat unloved in storage. This will probably be my last proper entry for a while now. I am keen to make a second veteran squad but I need to buy another cadian box set. Plus a piece of scenery is my May task and I am not sure how I am going to do that...
Anyway here's a picture of the army so far. Not huge but it includes 1 HQ, 5 Elites, 1 Troop, and 2 Heavy Support Choices in a Vanguard Detachment.

They look really cool together.
Glad you included the Priest (he’s one of my favourite classic 40k models)
Keep up the good work!
Hopefully all this chaos will end soon so life can go back to normality!

Thank you. I think I got him during a made to order gw online event. They need to release more priests and weird helpers.
Yes hopefully this doesn't last too much longer. I feel I didn't panic buy enough warhammer before this all started...

Well with all this Covid business going on I have managed to get a battle out my Mondanians against myself and my Death Guard army, 35 power level each. I tried out the ambush mission from the rulebook. As my dining room table isn't the widest I had half of the units from both armies in reserve, coming in on the 2nd turn. List as follows: Mondanians (Vanguard Detachment) HQ - Lord Commissar Elites - Veteran Squad, Platoon Commander, Command Squad, and Master of Ordinance Troops - 5 man Scion squad Heavy Support - Basilisk, Leman Russ Doctrines - Slum fighters and Wilderness Survival
Death Guard (Patrol Detachment) HQ - Chaos Lord Troops - 2 20 model hordes pf poxwalkers, 10 man squads of cultists Fast Attack - Foetid Bloat-Drone, Myphitic Blight-Hauler And surprise, surprise I won. Well the Death Guard did. The horde of poxwalkers won the game by just getting in the way. Thye kept on running up and poking the Leman Russ so it couldn't fire, and just got in the way on the main road. Realise now how stupid it was to put the thing front and centre. The Mondanians "won" the fight, but all of them were stuck almost in their starting positions. The Basilisk did try to make a mad dash at the end but then the game ended on turn 5. Other highlights were the platoon commander smacking his way through poxwalkers, the Commissar being surrounded and then quickly getting eaten by a mob of zombies, and the MofOrd surviving a round of combat with the Chaos Lord then falling back in its own turn so that the Basilisk could kill it at point blank range. Pictures below: The battlefield before the start of turn 1. Cultists sneak into the ruins. First batch of zombies block the road. The Stormtroopers appear and destroy the Blight-Hauler, only to be slaughtered a turn later by the Lord. The Basilisk makes a mad dash to victory, while the last of the Poxawalkers and Mondanians fight up clsoe. The Leman Russ is dead at this point.
